When you replace the existing rear ring and pinion in your Silverado with the 3.23 Richmond Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Set, you are giving your treasured truck a well-deserved performance upgrade. Designed for better everyday driving, the set delivers more power under the hood, enabling your vehicle to pound pavement with more torque and better handling now that you have added that lift and oversized tires. By improving the rear end gear ratio to 3.23, this racing-inspired set can increase acceleration and an operation at a higher rpm range during your normal driving range.
Heat-Treated Steel. Richmond provides a quality street gear differential ring and pinion set, thanks to excellence in engineering, design, and construction. The rear ring and pinion are composed of 8620 steel that is first-run rather than recycled and has undergone special heat treatment. The computer-controlled heat-treated process increases the steel's strength, providing a longer-lasting upgrade, especially with the included material warranty.
No-Hassle Install. The set consists of one ring gear and one pinion gear. The rear end parts of the 10-bolt set replace the existing pair. They bolt into place without hassle. Just follow the detailed instructions that come with the set.
Application. The 3.23 Richmond Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Set is made specifically for 2007 to 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 models with a spline count of 30 and an 8.5"/8.6" ring gear diameter.
Technical Note. Installation costs will vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Be sure to work with a reliable shop that you trust for installations.
