      Designed for OEM Replacement. The Motive 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is designed to provide enthusiasts and mechanics a great kit for re-gearing the differential. It features Motive’s exceptionally tough precision-machined gears. These gears are designed to meet and even exceed OEM specifications.

      8620 Steel Construction. The 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion are CNC-machined from high-grade 8620 steel. This ensures that the gears have superior strength, toughness, and durability. Furthermore, the precision-machining to tight specification gives the gears a perfect fit for a hassle-free installation.

      Recommended Upgrade. The kit only contains the ring gear and pinion and purchasing a Motive Gear Differential Install Kit is highly recommended.

      Professional Installation Recommended. Re-gearing the differential is a complex process and installation by a professional mechanic is recommended.

      1-Year or 50,000 Miles Limited Warranty. The 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship.

      Application. The Motive 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit with 3.42 Gears are designed to fit 2007 to 2013 Chevrolet Silverado models.

      Application Note. The kit is designed for use with 2.73 ratio carrier and higher.
