Allows for Higher Boost. The stock blow-off valve (BOV) is fine for the daily commuter truck, but if you are planning on increasing the boost and performance of your EcoBoost F-150, you are going to need a Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Dual Port Blow Off Valve that is able to handle the extra boost pressure - up to 30psi.

Vacuum Activated. Unlike the factory Ford blow-off valve that is electronically controlled by the ECU, the turbo-mounted Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Dual Port Blow Off Valve is mechanically operated by vacuum for consistent manifold pressure that helps keep your turbo spooled for better throttle response.

Quality Construction. Constructed from aircraft grade aluminum alloy for durability and strength, this Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Dual Port Blow Off Valve features a light-weight brass/aluminum, two-piece, O-ring sealed piston, which is then perfectly matched with precision engineered springs allowing for razor sharp valve response.

Application. The Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Dual Port Blow Off Valve is designed for use on all 2011 to 2012 EcoBoost F-150's equipped with the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine. Sold Individually.

        4 2011 Lariat - NickM

        Nice product

So was fairly easy to install, I have a lariat with extra trim and so removing the inner fenders was more work than in the video. The 5mm bolts were filled with mud so removal was a little more involved if you're not working on a pavement princess.. also it's a little tight getting to one of the bolts, just relax, have another beer, and you'll get it. As far as performance goes they're great! You can really hear the difference! Plus easy to adjust.

        Turbosmart Kompact Shortie

Great product easy to install and it came with an 90 degree fitting as well as the regular straight fitting. They provided the sound I wanted plus the quality of the valve is second to none where as the stock valve is cheap. Well worth the money.

I'm looking into a blow off valve like this but cant decide between the Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Dual Port BOV or the Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Recirculating Blow Off Valve. What is the difference? which one is better anyways.

      • These will both be the same just a difference in how the blow-off is. The Recirculating BOV will put circulate the pressure back into the intake making this quite. The Kompact Shortie will dispose of the pressure to the atmosphere making the classic BOV sound.
