Increase Horsepower and Torque. When your 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 rolled off the assembly line, the manufacturer programmed the truck to cater to the needs of the daily driver, not the performance enthusiast who adds aftermarket modifications in the search for more power. If the modding bug bit you and you're in the process of installing performance upgrades to your truck, then you'll need a custom written tune to squeeze out the extra power that those mods have to offer. A MPT Performance Custom Tune is designed to optimize the air/fuel ratio, adjust ignition timing and tweaks variable cam timing so you can see and feel the difference your modifications can make.
MPT Performance Custom Tunes. When you order a set of three custom tunes from MPT Performance they are written specifically for your personal F-150 and your particular modifications with your choice of octane level. MPT Performance even provides one post sale datalog review (if necessary) to assure your 3.5L EcoBoost is running healthy and strong. MPT offers three different tunes that you can choose from which includes Performance, Towing and Economy.
Performance Tune. The Performance Tune is MPT's favorite tune for daily driving as it provides the most gain in power and performance due to an increase in boost by 6-8 PSI. This tune will make your F-150 feel lighter due to the increase in throttle response. Not only will this tune increases your throttle response, but it also provides an increase in low end torque, which translates to quicker 0-60 times. When compared to the factory tune, the Performance Tune optimizes the shift points to keep your F-150 in the best RPM range when you need to accelerate quicker. If you're worried about losing some MPGs with this Performance Tune, don't be. This tune will provide a 1-2 MPG average increase when driving conservatively.
Towing Tune. Developed specifically for towing, this Towing Tune will provide an increase in boost by 1-3 PSI. With the increase in boost, your throttle response and 0-60 times will be improved. Like the Performance Tune, the Towing Tune also optimizes the shift points. This tune will keep your F-150 in the needed gear for power when you pull a trailer and climb hills. One of the unique features of this tune is the increase in engine braking. This will reduce wear on your braking components when you're descending down a hill.
Economy Tune. MPT developed their Economy Tune to provide the most gain in fuel economy. With average gains of 2-4 MPG, this tune is designed to decrease the throttle response and boost. This allows your torque converter to lock up earlier, when compared to the stock tune, to improve your efficiency. In addition, your shift points will be enhanced so your transmission shifts into higher gears earlier, which will help keep your RPMs low.
Transmission Options. Not only will you get your choice of 3 custom tunes for your F-150, you'll also have 4 additional options to dial in firmness, torque converter settings and shift points with your transmission. MPT transmission options include Race, Street, Chill or Stock.
Compact Design. The SF4/X4 Power Flash Tuner measures in at 2.7” wide X 5.5” tall making it much smaller than the original SF3/X3 for easy storage in your center console or glove box. The cord is detachable and there is no battery or power supply needed. It uses the power from your vehicle's diagnostic port or computers USB connection.
Full Color Display. The SF4/X4 Power Flash Tuner features a full color 2-3/4" diagonal LCD screen with user adjustable portrait or landscape modes. The SF4/X4 also has a convenient power saving auto dim feature.
Diagnostics. The SF4/X4 Power Flash Tuner can also be used as a diagnostic code reader. Save yourself hundreds of dollars each year by reading and clearing your own trouble codes rather than paying a dealer to do the same. Its as easy as a few simple steps.
On Screen Data Logging and Monitoring. With a full color LCD display, the SCT SF4/X4 Power Flash Tuner makes it EASY to read the Built-In Data Logging or Real Time Monitored Vehicle Data, view popular sensor data such as EGT, Air/Fuel Ratio or any other 0-5 Volt source.
Easy to Load; Easy to Restore. When you load a custom tune on your F-150, the tuner automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return the truck to its factory settings, just plug the tuner back in, select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done.
Application. This SCT SF4/X4 Power Flash Tuner and three MPT Performance Custom Tune Files is designed specifically for the 2011-2014 F-150s equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine.
Tuning Option Available. The only option available is for stock F-150s with or without basic bolt-on upgrade modifications such as a Cold Air Intake, Throttle Body and/or Full Exhaust System. This is NOT eligible to be shipped to California.
