It protects interior components and limits heat transfer in firewalls, transmission tunnels, floors, and similar areas, helping maintain temperature control and component longevity in automotive environments.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. This shield features an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 inch composite glass-fiber core, delivering both durability and high heat resistance. It is coated with a proprietary high-temperature black coating that ensures a professional black finish and resists cracking under normal flexing, preserving heat shielding performance.
_x000D__x000D_Installation. The self-adhesive backing simplifies installation, requiring no drilling or additional fasteners. The aggressive peel-and-stick adhesive ensures a secure hold that withstands wind, water, and high temperatures up to 450°F on the adhesive side.
