Description
Thermal Barrier Protection. The Floor and Tunnel Shield II; 42-Inch x 48-Inch; Aluminum provides a high-performance heat barrier designed to reflect and insulate interiors and critical vehicle components from excessive heat. It’s used extensively in automotive applications where fire walls, transmission tunnels, or floor boards are exposed to high temperatures. This product helps maintain vehicle comfort and protects electronics, fuel cells, and body parts from thermal damage.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. Made with a 10 mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8" composite glass-fiber core, this shield features a modern multifaceted aluminum surface that enhances heat reflection and adds rigidity. The backing consists of a high-temperature, super-strong pressure-sensitive layer, making it durable and heat resistant up to 1750°F. At only 3/16" thickness, it offers formability for custom fitting and has a finely woven glass-fiber backing for ease of handling and installation.
_x000D__x000D_Installation. The installation process is straightforward and requires no drilling. This non-adhesive shield can be cut and shaped to fit tight spaces, with the embossed aluminum side oriented towards the heat source for optimal protection.
