This cold air intake features a free-flowing design and a high-flow oiled air filter to deliver huge charges of cold air into your engine. This ensures complete fuel combustion and improvements in power and torque numbers. Moreover, intake comes with a blacked-out look, giving your engine bay an aggressive new style.
No Tune Required. Spectre Performance engineered their Cold Air Intake to improve the performance of your V8 F-150 without the need of reprogramming your computer. By utilizing flow dynamics, this Intake will increase power using the original factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this Cold Air Intake.
High-Flow Oiled Air Filter. This cold air intake includes a black oiled air filter that offers superior air flow without compromising filtration efficiency. This air filter comes pre-oiled with multiple layers of non-woven synthetic fabric designed to trap virtually all contaminants ensuring your engine remains contaminant-free. Moreover, this filter is easy to maintain and fully reusable with an appropriate oiled filter cleaning kit.
Robust Build Quality. This cold air intake features a high-grade aluminum intake tube providing excellent durability while remaining lightweight. Additionally, this intake tube is fully mandrel-bent eliminating turbulence-producing areas along its inner structure. Meanwhile, the included 2-piece steel heat shield offers superior strength and total air filter protection against damaging engine bay heat. Finally, this component is finished in a black powder coating to match the black colored air filter, giving the system its characteristic “blacked-out” look.
Straight Forward Installation. This Spectre cold air intake installs directly into your truck’s factory air intake location without the need for modifications. What’s more, all the necessary mounting hardware is included, and installation requires just standard hand tools.
