Moreover, its resilient construction guarantees excellent protection against flying pebbles, insects, and other hazards, keeping your leading edge free from scratches, dings, and dents.

      Resilient Build Quality. This hood protector gets its characteristic durability from high-grade ABS plastic that’s also highly resistant to deterioration from extreme weather, UV light, and chemicals. Furthermore, this component is made using a high-tech injection molding process following exact specifications for an accurate fit. Wrapping up its construction is a dark smoke finish for a stylish look.

      User-Friendly Install Procedure. This Aeroskin hood protector features an automotive-grade double-sided adhesive tape backing, making installation essentially a user-friendly peel-and-stick process. Prior to its installation, your hood should be well cleaned and dried before wiping down with the included alcohol pads. This is to optimize the bonding of the adhesive to your hood. Also, the mounting surface should first be warmed to temperatures of between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit when installing this component in cold weather. This is because the adhesive works best when the surface is warm. This can be done using a heat gun or hairdryer.

      Application. This Aeroskin Dark Smoke Hood Protector fits 2019-2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, excluding 2022-2024 Trail Boss and ZR2 models.

      Application Notes. Do not drive your vehicle for 24 hours, and do not wash it for 72 hours after installation. This is to give the adhesive time to reach maximum adhesion.
