      Superior Rear Damper. Now that you’ve upgraded your front shocks, it’s time to provide your rear with the same advanced performance with the Rancho RS5000X Rear Shock for Stock Height. This rear shock absorber features a high-pressure nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube design that utilizes progressive engagement valving. This design provides damping levels relative to the terrain you’re on. In practical terms, you get more focused damping when going over uneven terrain and a smooth ride on paved roads. Additionally, this rear shock also features an internally installed polyurethane bumper that cushions the piston when bottoming out. This helps reduce harshness to improve ride quality.

      Resilient Build Quality. This strut features a 2.25-inch diameter shock body manufactured from tough alloy. This ensures exceptional durability and efficient heat dissipation for consistent performance. Likewise, its piston rod is made from nitro-carburized steel and measures 16 mm in diameter, offering superior strength, especially when going off-road. Meanwhile, the included accordion-style dust boot is constructed from polyvinyl material, providing excellent piston rod and oil seal protection against debris. Finally, this component comes in a silver-gray liquid metallic finish for excellent protection against corrosion.

      Efficient Install Procedure. Installing this rear shock is a relatively efficient procedure as this assembly mounts onto your truck’s factory rear shock location without the need for modifications. Also, installation is completed using just standard hand tools.
