      Video Review & Installation

So, if you own an '11 to '18 F150 and you wanna remove the delay between the time you press your pedal and the time your truck actually starts moving, therefore making your truck feel a lot quicker without actually installing any mods whatsoever, then you should be checking out the Pedal Commander Bluetooth throttle response controller. Now, if you're curious how this device works, it's pretty simple. The '11 to '18 F150 uses a system called fly by wire. Basically, what happens is when you press your pedal, there's no actual mechanical thing happening. Instead, you're sending a signal to the ECU, and the ECU commands the throttle body to open, letting air into the engine. There is a natural delay in this process. What this little device does is it boosts that signal and it kills that delay. That's what makes your truck feels a lot faster. The reason why this is so nice is because this mod does not actually modify anything in the ECU. That means you can actually use this in tandem with any other mods on your truck, including a tuner. Installing this device is very straightforward. It literally takes a few minutes. You don't have to do any kind of wiring. No custom modification whatsoever. For that reason, we give the install a very easy one out of three wrenches on my difficulty meter. Shouldn't take us more than 10 minutes to get this entire thing set up. So, if you wanna make your truck feel a lot faster, you wanna kill that delay in the pedal but you don't wanna invest in something more expensive like a tuner, go ahead and stick around. I'm gonna show you guys how to get this installed in just a second. So, like I said, installing the Pedal Commander is very easy. All you have to do is unplug the wiring harness from your gas pedal, and feed this into it. The red tab end goes to the gas pedal itself, and the other end goes to the wiring harness. All right. Once you have the Pedal Commander plugged in, make sure you zip tie any of the excess cable underneath the steering column so it's out of the way. You can actually mount it to your dash using the provided double-sided hook and loop tape that they provide in the kit. Now, once you have the Pedal Commander plugged in and situated on your dash, using the device is very easy. You can actually set the sensitivity with the key in the on position and the ignition off. However, you can actually make changes to pedal sensitivity in real-time while your engine is running. By default, you'll press this little star button in the middle, and that's gonna select your city setting. City is technically the default setting on the device. It is not the least sensitive. It is not the most sensitive. It's a good middle ground to start with. If you wanna get more sensitive, you can select these options down here with the plus or minus icons on either side. Going from zero to plus four will increase sensitivity. If you wanna make it less sensitive, you can go from zero down to negative four. And if you want to up the game a little bit and go to the next setting, go ahead and select the star button again, and it'll cycle through sport and sport plus. If you want the absolute most sensitive throttle possible, you're gonna wanna be on sport plus, and you're gonna wanna set your sensitivity on this level to plus four. Now, if you wanna go to economy mode, it's very easy. All you have to do is hold this button down. It's gonna select economy for you automatically. Economy mode improves your MPGs, and it actually makes the pedal a little less sensitive in exchange for saving a little bit of cash at the pump. So, as you can see, installing the Pedal Commander and using it is very straightforward. And if you wanted to use the Bluetooth function on this thing, all you gotta do is download the app for your phone. Other than that, that wraps up my review of the Pedal Commander Bluetooth throttle response controller, fitting your '11 to '18 F150. I'm Travis. Thanks for watching. Eliminate Drive-By-Wire Pedal Delay the Bluetooth Way. You can now eliminate annoying throttle response delay, which is well-known in 2011-2022 Ford F-150s, with a Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller. Ford uses a drive-by-wire system that monitors the position of the gas pedal to control the throttle electronically, similar to a dimmer switch. The problem with this setup is that the signal from the pedal has to first be sent to the ECU, which in turn then sends the signal to the actuator motor that controls the throttle body itself. This delay is most noticeable when trying to speed up to merge with fast moving traffic or pass a slower moving car. However, you can now eliminate this annoying delay for crisp throttle response with a Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller.

Four Adjustable Control Modes. Unlike other throttle control devices that are either on or off, the Pedal Commander comes with four preset control modes for Eco, City, Sport and Sport Plus driving applications. Best of all, each mode has 8 different levels of sensitivity. This will allow you to adjust each mode to your own personal driving style and needs. You can now use your smart device to change the settings instead of physically bending down and doing it manually on the Pedal Commander.

Easy Plug & Play Installation. The Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller connects directly into the stock throttle position sensor. This sensor is found on the drive-by-wire gas pedal using an OEM style plug and play connector with no permanent modifications required. The Pedal Commander is 100% reversible, making it warranty friendly.

Two-Year Product Warranty. Pedal Commander manufactures their Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller to the highest quality and standards with CE and TUV Certification. However, in the event you do receive a defective or malfunctioning device, Pedal Commander will replace it free of charge within 2 years of the original purchase date.

Compatible with Aftermarket Programmers. The Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller can be used in conjunction with common aftermarket OBD-II programmers and/or monitors such as: SCT, Diablosport, Hypertech, Superchips, Bully Dog, and Edge. If your vehicle has a custom tune, it is not recommended to use the Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller. A custom tune can improve the throttle response.

The Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller is designed for use on all 2011-2022 F-150s.
