      VIN Clear Programmer. The OBDGenie VIN Clear Theft Unlock Programmer removes the theft lock message displayed on General Motors radios when installed in vehicles other than the original one. It clears the VIN number from the radio unit, allowing it to be installed in a new compatible vehicle, restoring access to the radio without theft lock restrictions. This device is essential for anyone replacing or transferring a GM radio to a different vehicle and encountering theft lock issues.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with no drilling or special tools required. The vehicle should be in accessory mode. The device plugs into the OBD2 port and is left connected until confirmation is received via LED indication or horn honk signaling completion.
