Description
EPA STANDARD COMPONENT. The EPA Standard Catalytic Converter is designed as a direct-fit replacement to reduce harmful emissions from your vehicle's exhaust system. It performs three critical chemical reactions to convert nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and unburned hydrocarbons into less harmful substances, ensuring compliance with federal emissions standards.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Crafted from durable T409 stainless steel and aluminized steel components, this catalytic converter is built to withstand high temperatures and resist corrosion. The product features thick OE-style flanges, hangers, and brackets along with a high-flow honeycomb core coated with precious metals Pt/Pd/Rh for efficient emissions conversion.
INSTALLATION. This unit offers a direct-fit bolt-on design allowing for straightforward installation using existing OE hangers and mounts without the need for specialized welding or fabrication. Installation is suited to individuals with basic mechanical knowledge and standard hand tools.
APPLICATION. Specifically engineered to fit the 2009-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe models within the specified years, it meets the vehicle’s emissions requirements and is not legal for sale or use in California and Colorado.
