Justin: Plain and simple, guys, you should be checking out this Soft Tri-Fold Bed Cover option if you want to cover your bed and protect your cargo from the elements, but you want to spend the least amount of money in the process. Now, this tri-fold option will be available for the 2015 through 2020 F-150 in both 5.5-foot and 6.5-foot bed lengths and will start in the low $200 range. Now, getting the cover in place will be a very simple and straightforward job that requires no drilling, no permanent modification. So, figure a soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. And I would say about an hour at absolute most to get everything in place. So, if you're watching this video, then chances are you already know about the value of having some sort of cover on your bed to protect your cargo, but why consider this particular option? Well, as I just said at the top of this video, to save money, that's going to be the biggest takeaway with this particular tri-fold option. Now, this cover is going to utilize weather-resistant vinyl material that does feel very thick, very durable overall, and I don't get the impression that this is going to be a cheap material that will rip or tear easily. Now, the material is also UV-resistant, so you shouldn't have to worry about this thing fading on you in the sun over the years. Now, in addition to that, it looks like they've done a great job overall with the construction, sewing of the cover, and, of course, your skeleton material as well. Now, speaking of which, the base or skeleton material is going to incorporate strong aircraft-grade aluminum throughout, and that is finished off in a sleek black epoxy powder coat increasing the overall durability. Now, the aluminum frame is going to be equal parts lightweight and again, strong, which is nice because if you do ever get heavy snowfall on the cover, you're not going to have to worry about that aluminum frame kind of bowing or sagging on you and therefore stretching the vinyl in the process. But maybe one of my favorite parts about this very budget-friendly cover is the fact that it features that popular tri-fold design or operation, meaning you can simply fold this thing up and out of the way whenever you need to access the entire bed or haul something large. Now, holding the cover out of the way once folded up, you do have some included straps here. It does also come with some built-in weatherstripping and additional weatherstripping to keep this thing sealed nice and tight and prevent any moisture from entering the bed. Now, going back to that tri-fold design, guys, if you're not a huge fan of that for whatever reason, feel free to check out some of our rolling snap cover options as well. Those are typically even more affordable than something like this. So, that's kind of your bare-bones entry-level cover. I would say this is going to be probably your next step up. But speaking of that, guys, we do have a ton and I mean a ton of options back at americantrucks.com, so feel free to check out our complete selection. And if you're still maybe on the fence about what style you want to go for, we did a pretty cool video about what's up with that, all things bed covers, where we talk pros, we talk cons of each style and each cover to hopefully help you guys narrow it down at the end of the day. But now comes a point in the video where I stop yapping and we're gonna show you how to get this thing in place on your 2015 and newer F-150 at home. So, without further ado, check out our detailed walkthrough right now.Man: The tools used for this install are a pair of cutters or a knife. The first step of this install is going to be installing this provided weatherstripping along the bulkhead of the truck bed. They give you more than is needed for this bulkhead so if there are any areas on the truck bed that seem to be letting water in, you can have a little bit of extra weatherstripping to keep all that out and apply it as needed. I'm just going to lay this across the top of my truck bed and snip it to length, and then I can apply it with the 3M backing. The next step is going to be installing the tonneau cover onto the back of the truck bed at the bulkhead where we installed the weatherstripping earlier. And just sitting in place for now until we can put the latches on. So, once you've made yourself comfortable in the bed of your truck, you can slide underneath the tonneau cover and locate these brackets along the rails here. These brackets, accept these T-bolts, and they just hook right in. So, you can install the T-bolts onto the bracket. Now, you can take your clamp, slide it up into place through the bolt hole, and install your wing nut. Now, just do the same thing on the other side. So, the last step of this install is going to be unfolding the tonneau cover. And in order to do that, all have to do is unhook the bungees that are on both sides of the tonneau cover. Get the other one on the other side. Once you've unhooked the second bungee, you can unfold the tonneau cover and latch it down by the end of the tailgate. Now, just take your latch mechanism here, slide it forward, hook it into the bed rail, and pull the clamp down. Opening and closing a tonneau cover is very simple, all you need to do to open it is pop open your tailgate and release the latches here at the back of the tonneau cover. The latches tuck up into the tonneau cover rails so that they're not in the way when you fold up the mechanism. Then you can fold the tonneau cover up. You can fold the tonneau cover all the way up towards the rear windshield and use these bungee cords to latch it down. To close up your tonneau cover, all you need to do is unlatch the bungee cords from the hook in the back and unroll it towards the tailgate. Pull the end of it down so that you can hook in the mechanism. You can release the latch from its resting position, slide it into the notches, hook it into the bed rail, and pull it down. And you can just do the same thing on the other side. And that's gonna wrap up this review and install of the Tri-Fold Soft Tonneau Cover, fitting your 2015 to 2020 F-150. Thanks for watching, and for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
