This system is designed for vehicles requiring robust braking capability under demanding conditions, providing reliable stopping power for larger GM 1500 trucks and SUVs equipped with OE rear disc brakes and manual park brake systems.
Construction and Appearance. The caliper is CNC machined from US-sourced 2618 aluminum forging, ensuring strength and precision. It features a powder-coated finish for durability and corrosion resistance. The rotor is a one-piece slotted and drilled zinc-plated design with a billet aluminum hat, combining functionality and aggressive styling. Stainless steel pistons and hardware increase longevity and reliability.
Installation. Installation of this brake kit requires moderate skill and no drilling of the vehicle’s components. It re-uses the original equipment manual parking brake and is compatible with 6-lug wheel patterns typically found on the specified models.
Application. Fits 1999-19 GM 1500 trucks and 2000-20 GM 1500 SUVs with OE rear disc brakes and manual park brake systems only. Does not fit vehicles with drum brake rear ends or electric park brake systems.
