The T-Style Running Boards here for the 2015 and newer SuperCab F150s will be one of the most affordable boards in the category, and one that's gonna offer a unique look for right around that $230 price point. Interested buyers can look forward to a combination of carbon steel along with polyethylene here for the overall build. While the very simple installation will get a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and an hour or less to complete from start to finish. But as always guys, if you hang with me for a little bit, we'll show you how it's done later in the video. So, in my humble opinion, gang, the T-Style Running Boards, at least when I first saw them, kind of resembled the factory 2015 and newer boards but on steroids, right? The size, the basic shape and design are all very similar but this traction surface, again polyethylene, is gonna be very aggressive, for lack of a better word, and will be helpful on those wet or even those snowy days.Material wise the T-Style Boards here are gonna be as solid as they come especially given that low $200 price point. You're looking at a full powder coated carbon steel base, if you will, topped off with a grippy polyethylene on top here essentially from tip to tip. And that is gonna be one of the inherent benefits I think of going with the running board in the first place, as opposed to a nerf bar or something like that. But those nerf bars out there, you're really only getting two traction surfaces basically, for the front and rear passengers, whereas this on the other hand, you can step anywhere on this thing without the worry of slipping or falling. So, again, running boards in my opinion are gonna be far more useful for truck owners who need to access stuff on the roof a lot or just kind of general traction from tip to tip. Now, keep in mind here, gang, that these steps we are featuring in this video are intended for the 2015 and newer SuperCab owners out there, but you should know I-Style does also offer them in a longer length to appeal to the SuperCrew owners as well.Price point's gonna remain the same, right around 230 bucks, which again really hard to beat in the category with some of your loan exceptions being from those guys at I-Step, a little bit more basic of a design but you are saving a few bucks from them as well. But now we wanna show you just how easy it will be to install these sidesteps from I-Style. So, without further ado, here is that detailed walkthrough we promised you earlier, one with a quick little tool breakdown.Man: Tools used for this install are a ratchet, a 13-millimeter socket, and a 10-millimeter wrench. So, the first step of this install is going to be to install the brackets that hold the running boards to the bottom of the truck. There are four of these brackets, two on each side. So, let's get started. So, there are three studs pre-installed on the bottom side of the cab from the factory and those are gonna be the mounting locations for our bracket. So, what I'll do is install my bracket to the studs and using the provided hardware which is the washers and the nuts, I will secure those down into place. Next I'll just use a 13-millimeter socket on my ratchet and tighten them down. And now you're just gonna repeat this process for the other brackets and mounting locations. So, provided in the kit are these bolt plates and these are what secure the sidestep to the brackets that we just installed on the truck. These just slide into this little channel here, and they lock into place when you bolt them down but it allows you all the adjustability that you would need to position the sidestep however you feel works best on your truck. Now, what I'm gonna do is sit my sidestep on my brackets and install my bolt plates just so I don't have to have too many hands holding things while I'm trying to get nuts and bolts started. Now that I have these brackets positioned, I'm gonna use the provided washer, lock washer, and nut and secure them down. Once you have the brackets positioned exactly the way you want them you can use a 10-millimeter wrench and tighten down your nuts. And that's gonna wrap up this review and install of the T-Style running boards in black fitting your 2015 to 2019 F150 SuperCab.
