If I add this to a stock 2018 f150 supercrew 4x4, what is the largest size KO2’s I can run without rubbing. Please provide full tire specs. I will be running the stock 20inch wheels that came with my STX package. Thanks!

    ChrisJ

    • With the Rough Country 2 in. Leveling Strut Extensions you can fit up to a 33x12.50 or the metric equivalent 295/55R20. With the stock wheels, spacers will be required due to the less aggressive 44mm offset of OEM wheels.

will i be able to fit 305/65r17 on my 15 f150 with this 2 inch level kit?

    JustinS

    • You would be able to fit a 33" or the 305/65/17 tire on your truck with the 2" lift.

Will this kit allow me to run a 355 tire with 22x14 rim?

    TommyS

    • The Rough Country 2 in. Leveling Strut Extensions will only allow fitment of up to a 33x12.50 tire. Unfortunately since we do not have the full tire size that you are going to run, it will be hard to determine the exact size of what you are planning, however a 355/45r22 being fairly common, would come out to a 34.6x14, showing this lift would be inadequate based on width and height of the tire. Please contact our Customer Service Department so that we may work with you to find the right lift for your tire size.

If I add this leveling kit to my truck, will it affect my truck's towing capabilities? I haul a 6000lb travel trailer every once in a while, and other medium utility trailers with up to 4000lbs in weight.

    • The Rough Country 2 in. Leveling Strut Extensions will have no adverse effect on your towing capacity.

      As hoped for

5 stars for looks... 4 stars overall (because of a new 4wheel drive hum). Great product. Easy to follow instructions and it gave my truck the exact level look I was looking for (posted photo). Installation was pretty straight forward however be aware of the IWE process and use a hand vacuum when reinstalling it. Save yourself a headache and follow the instructions (don't take a short cut). Ride is similar to stock but higher/more aggressive looking. One issue that may be unique to my truck is that now that when I engage 4 wheel drive and I turn roughly 30-45 degrees I get a little humming sound. Not sure if its because of the angle of the CV but it wasn't there before. I plan on getting it checked out at the dealership. Installation took about 3hrs with a friend to help out. A hammer and impact gun will save you a lot of hassle.

      Look great

I was between needing a 2" and a 2.5" level. I'm glad I decided on this one. I recommend rough country to anyone.

      Very pleased

I was actually impressed with this lift. The ride did not change much at all and the truck looks much better. The back of the truck is still higher than the front by just a little. And the best part is I'm not hitting the stupid plastic skirt on the front of the truck anymore!

Great quality item for a great price

I had these installed on my 2017 F-150 because the front sat so much lower than the rear. Now it is jist about even and it looks great. Install took about 2 hours and did not seem that difficult because i had my buddy (a mechanic) do it for me since he owns a shop. Recommended to my cousin as well.

Had this put on and it helped reduce the "rake" stance that comes stock on this truck.

      Rough country 2" leveling kit

So far, I'm happy with the way my truck looks and rides. Time will tell about how the tire wear will progress. I had a pro install the kit, more than I could handle on my own. Also had an alignment done so it is perfect. Now I need to have the headlights adjusted, too high for on coming traffic, even on low beam!

      Quit Slouching

Levelled my pick up perfectly. I dont like the rake look at all so im happy i went with strut spacers only and not the kit with 1 inch blocks for rear. Very happy with the looks and ride quality was not altered at all

      Great Bang For The Buck!

I recently installed the Rough Country leveling kit on my 2013 F150. The kit is very simple and well thought out. However, for my application the instructions incorrectly named tool sizes. No big deal because anyone tackling this project should have a complete set of tools and simply grab the correct size wrench or socket. just keep that in mind as you are assembling your tools to climb under the truck. Also, I did this alone and I found that re-installing the strut assembly after the spacers were installed was difficult. A friend to help with this step would be recommended. Lastly, getting the lower strut bolt loose was a bear. A long breaker bar and a strong back will help to break it. Overall I am 100 satisfied with the quality, price and finished product. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a more aggressive stance with the ability to run larger tires. I opted for 275/70 R18 General Grabber X3's on the factory rims and the fit perfectly. No rubbing of any kind. The instructions say you can stuff 35's under your rig. I'm not convinced there is that much room. You would have to be spot on with your rim backspacing and run a narrow width tire and perhaps do a bit of plastic trimming.

      Good final product

I am very happy with the end result of this product. Truck looks, great and I haven't noticed any difference in ride quality whatsoever. My only complaint is that the studs included with the kit can slide back into the spacer at the top of the strut when installing if they have not been pulled through the spacer with either a very large ratchet or breaker bar, leaving not much of the threads sticking through when you get it on the truck.

      leveling kit

This is a great leveling kit. However if you want your pickup to sit perfectly level i would recomend going with 2.5 instead of 2.

      Levelers

You have to re-torque after 300 miles, then every 3000 miles and put a sticker on your windshield to remind you to do this. you need to adjust headlights plus get an alignment.

I don't know if I got the wrong hardware with this kit or what but all the bolts striped, one on my strut cap completely so needless to say I uninstalled the one side I got on,and I'm going to use another product to level my 2017 f150.

      Great product

Does exactly what is described. Vehicle looks much more aggresive leveled out. Alignment is a must after this is installed. Installed my self with in a few hours. Only reason i gave it 4 stars is because the directions are a little confusing but anyone with any kind of mechanical knowledge and common sense can easily install
