Justin: The RedRock 4 by 4 Smoked Window Deflectors that we have here today will, hands down, be one of the most affordable ways currently on the site to get a set of front and rear deflectors on your 2014 through 2018 Double-Cab Silverado at home. Now, this set of four will combine a durable injection-molded acrylic material along with that dark smoked appearance, as you guys can see, for right around 80 bucks. Installation, according to the site, as you might imagine, relatively soft one out of three wrenches on the old difficulty meter here, gang, peel and stick job that should take you no more than 10 to 20 minutes to complete from start to finish. So, as you guys watching at home probably already know, the idea behind window deflectors is a simple one, allow truck owners to leave their windows cracked due to circulation or while maybe smoking and to help prevent any rain or excess wind from getting inside. Now, this will also help keep your truck a little bit cooler in the summertime by leaving those windows cracked a bit while parked or by allowing a hot cab to air out while driving and at the same time keeping that wind and rain to an absolute minimum. And as an added bonus, some guys say they look pretty cool when installed, but that certainly comes after the functionality aspect of what these things are designed to do.But as I mentioned at the very top of this video, guys, the RedRock options will be one of the most affordable of their kind here on the site, especially when you compare these to bigger-name options such as WeatherTech. Now, don't get me wrong, some of those more expensive options are going to maybe be a bit sleeker by design, possibly even deliver a little bit more coverage. But, again, if you're looking for a basic deflector that will get the job done, this set from RedRock is really gonna be hard to beat. Now, no matter what option you decided to go with, a lot of the window deflector material is pretty similar from brand to brand, and in this case, it's gonna be the thick injection-molded acrylic material that's gonna be pretty durable and has been finished off in that popular dark smoked appearance which is gonna look great, look very stealthy once installed. I would say more so on darker trucks, of course, or maybe trucks with windows tinted, but you get the point. Now, this kit does, again, include two fronts and two rears for your Double-Cab Silverado, and again, there's no need for any drilling or permanent modification for this install. One hundred percent peel and stick job, guys, very, very straightforward. Your 3M tape's already located on the back for you as you can see. You're just simply gonna prep the area on your truck first, peel off that protective backing, and then slap them on your rig. But to give you a better idea of how this is all gonna go down, check out our detailed walkthrough right now.Man: So, this one's gonna be a really, really easy install, just peel and stick. We're just gonna peel off the 3M backing for our new wind deflectors and we are going to stick them onto the sides of our vehicle. You just wanna make sure that you're working with a clean and dry surface that is free from any debris so you have good adhesion from your 3M backing. So, let's get started. I'm just gonna start by peeling the corners of my 3M backing and folding them over. This is gonna allow me to just stick the corners on so I can get everything lined up the way that I want it and then once I have the alignment the way I need it, I can peel back the rest of it and apply some light pressure for full adhesion. Now that I'm happy with the alignment for my wind deflector, I can go ahead and peel the 3M backing and apply some light pressure so I get good adhesion. Now I can just do the same thing for the back window and make sure that my two wind deflectors line up and then I'll peel the rest of my 3M backing. And once you're all set with this one side, you can repeat the same exact process on the other. That's gonna wrap up this review and install of the RedRock 4 by 4 Smoked Front and Rear Window Deflectors, fitting your 2014 to 2018 Chevy Silverado.
