This rear shock absorber utilizes a twin-tube construction that when combined with a high pressure nitrogen-charged and progressive engagement valving provides unique customized damping. This means you get more immediate damping when going off-road and an OE ride quality when cruising down the highway. Moreover, this rear shock features an internal polyurethane bumper designed to cushion the component from the inside during rebound. This design helps reduce harshness even more for a truly comfortable ride no matter where you drive.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. This strut’s 2.25-inch shock body is machine-formed from high-grade alloy. This feature works to provide maximum durability and exceptional heat dissipation the latter of which ensures reliable performance even through repeated cycling. Its piston rod is similarly manufactured from nitro-carburized steel and measures 16 mm wide, offering optimal strength particularly for the trails. Meanwhile, a polyvinyl accordion-style dust boot is included protecting the piston rod and oil seal from debris. Finally, this component comes in a silver-gray liquid metallic finish for ideal corrosion protection.
Hassle-Free Install Procedure. This rear shock utilizes your truck’s factory counterpart’s location as its mounting area. No modifications to your vehicle are required. Additionally, installation is completed using just standard hand tools.
