Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the Super White LED Halo Projector Headlights in chrome, fitting all 2009 to 2018 Ram 1500s without the factory projector headlights. So, if you're in search of a brand new set of headlights that's going to increase your lighting performance, but you're a fan of the stock chrome styling, these are going to be a great choice to take a look into. So, this set of headlights is gonna be great for anybody who, again, is a fan of that stock look but wants a more modernized feel with some better lighting performance and some better lighting output. Now, these are also gonna be great for somebody who has a burned-out bulb or has a broken housing and just wants to complete the set and get a complete upgrade. Now, these will integrate that LED halo around that projector lens, which is going to help you out with some more modernized styling, and it's also going to make you a little bit more noticeable on the road to other drivers. Now, the big jump up in lighting performance comes with that projector lens. Now, even though it's using a halogen bulb, kind of like the factory, it is going to project that light output a little bit farther and also create a more concentrated light pattern, upping your light performance over the factory reflector. Now, that is gonna be great if you are having trouble seeing at night with your current headlights and, again, want a bump up in lighting performance. Now, what I really like about these is that, first of all, it keeps everything in place as far as the reflector and the headlight high beam and low beam is concerned, but it's also going to be completely plug-and-play, so this is going to be a no-fuss design for somebody who just wants to pop in new headlights and doesn't wanna do any extra wiring. Now, with that being said, these are gonna come in at roughly $400, and I personally think for all of the things that are included, all the benefits, that that is a pretty good price point. Now, there are other options on the page that are going to be a little bit similar to this. However, they may be for a dual projector or they may come with a different design as far as the housing is concerned, with a black housing or even a different lens, a smoke lens instead of a clear one like this. So, it kinda comes down to your preference in the actual design. However, if you're a fan of the projector-style headlight and you want a halo included in the headlight itself, as well as some better lighting performance in that stock chrome look, then these are gonna be a great choice to take a look into.As far as install is concerned, like I said, this is a completely plug-and-play set. You don't have to do any additional wiring, it's two plugs for each of the headlights, so I'm gonna give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you no longer than an hour to get these things installed with some very basic hand tools. So, speaking of that install, let's jump into that right now.The tools that I used for this install were an impact wrench and a 10-millimeter socket. So, to kick off this install, we're gonna take off our grille. I am gonna use a 10-millimeter socket for the hardware I have, but it may be a little bit different if you have the factory hardware. So, there's gonna be four bolts that are lining the top of the grille. Just gonna go ahead and remove those. Once those are removed, we can give a good pull back and completely remove our grille. So, in order to remove our headlight, we have two bolts on the side here. I'm gonna remove the top one first with the 10-millimeter socket and impact wrench, but we will need to use a hand ratchet for the bottom one because the impact wrench doesn't really reach it.Now, we can use the same 10-millimeter socket for the bottom one. Right. And once both of those are removed, what we can do is get a good grip on our headlight and pull it back out of the retainer. So, there's gonna be a couple of studs that are in retainers on the outside of the headlight, so we just have to pull them out. Right. Once the headlight's out, we can disconnect the two connections on the back, just making sure that the red locking tab is up. We can depress that tab and pull back. Same with the other one. Now, we can grab our new headlight. So, because our new headlight is plug-and-play, what we have to do essentially at this point is just plug it in and repeat that process backwards. So, I am going to plug the green connector into the main headlight, make sure that that clicks and that locks down. Then, we can take the one on the side, click that in, lock that up. So, as you can see, this little post here, that's what's gonna go into the post or the mounting location on the back. You kinda have to line that up. And then, you can give it a good press. So, once that's in place, what we can do is take our factory hardware and secure that back down. So, once our two bolts are threaded in, we can take our 10-millimeter socket and we can tighten those both up. So, before we install our second headlight, I do wanna stop down and put the factory headlight next to our new headlight setup to show you guys some of the similarities and the differences. Now, starting off, these are actually going to be very similar in the way that they're set up. Our new headlight, as well as our factory headlight, are both gonna have a clear lens and they're also going to have a chrome housing. Now, our new headlight is actually going to keep everything in the same place as far as the amber reflector and the headlight housing is concerned in comparison to our factory headlight. Now, the big difference with our new headlight setup and our factory one is the technology inside. So, this is going to keep the classic look. However, our new headlight setup is going to have a projector light with an H9 high beam and low beam. And that projector lens is going to concentrate the light, it's going to help out with lighting performance, giving you a more streamlined effect to your lighting. So, you are going to get some better visibility when you're driving at night with a set of projector lights than you are going to get with a standard halogen bulb. Now, the reflector and the standard halogen bulb are great for stock applications. However, if you're looking for a lot of lighting performance out of a halogen bulb, then a projector setup and a projector lens are definitely going to be a big benefit. Now, what I also really like about this new headlight setup is not only are you getting the better lighting performance out of the high beam and the low beam, you're also getting a halo ring, an LED halo, around that projector lens, which is going to act as a daytime running light or even just add some extra styling and make you more noticeable on the road to other drivers. And you're also going to get an upgrade for your amber light, or your turn signal, or that reflector over on the side. Those are going to have LEDs so, again, that is going to up the performance, make you more noticeable on the road. Perfect for safety, but also give you that style in between. As to our factory headlights, both the turn signal and the headlight itself are just going to be using a standard halogen bulb. So, overall, this is going to be a big upgrade, but it does keep that classic look, which I personally really like. I think it kind of cleans up the look, keeps everything in the same spot but, again, you're getting some better performance. So, what do you say we go ahead and install our new headlight? What we can do is just repeat that process on the other side. So, after both of our headlights are in, they're working, and they're adjusted, what we can do is reinstall our grille. So, I'm using the factory hardware and that 10-millimeter socket. So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install.
