Hey, guys. So today we're checking out the Pedal Commander Bluetooth throttle controller, fitting all 2007 to 2018 Silverado 1500s. So if you've noticed a lack in throttle response or a lag in your drive-by-wire and you're looking to gain some of that back, this option by Pedal Commander is gonna be a great choice to take a look into.So essentially, what's going on with your drive-by-wire is, when your foot hits the pedal, it's gonna send a certain amount of voltage to your ECU, which tells your throttle body to open up according to that voltage. Now, within that time, there is a little bit of a lag or a delay, and if you've noticed that, a throttle controller is a great way to modify that voltage and take away all of that or some of that lag.So with this device, you're getting four major modes. You're getting Eco mode, which is going to focus on economy and saving some gas and boosting your MPG, City mode, perfect for daily driving, Sport mode, which is going to be for more sprinted driving or sprinted applications, and then you're gonna have Sport+, which is going to allow you to max out that throttle response and be more for performance applications. Now, within each of those four modes, you are going to be able to dial up and down the sensitivity with eight different settings. Now, I personally really like that, considering that you can fine-tune your throttle response to however you want in your Silverado. Not to mention, this is going to come with a very low profile and sleek device with a small mounting bracket on the back, so you can mount it up wherever you'd like inside of your cab area. There's some tactile buttons on the front and, as well as, a couple of different indicators for which mode that you're in. And this is also Bluetooth-compatible, as it says in the name, so you will be able to download an app on your phone and be able to control the Pedal Commander and control your throttle response on the fly from your smartphone, which is a bell and whistle that I do really like out of this specific option. Not to mention, it's gonna come with everything that you need. It's plug-and-play and very easy to use for somebody who's looking for a no-fuss design. So with all that being said, this is gonna come in at roughly $300, which is a very average price point for a throttle enhancement device. Now, in comparison to some other choices on the page, this is gonna come with some extra bells and whistles, including that Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a larger device in comparison to some other choices that may have a more basic design with a dial or just a standard button to change up the modes within the throttle enhancement device. Now, in my personal opinion, I think if you're looking for a very user-friendly device that's going to come with those extra bells and whistles, then this is going to be a great choice to take a look into.So I would like to mention that this is not going to be a tuner, so it's not gonna be able to change parameters within your truck's ECU, and it's not going to increase any horsepower or torque numbers. As far as performance goes, this is going to strictly focus on throttle response. So, again, if you're looking for that throttle response enhancement and you're also looking for some preset settings with being able to fine-tune them in between, again, this is a great choice to take a look into.So as far as install goes, this is going to be incredibly easy. It's a plug-and-play device, so I'm gonna give it a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you no more than 20 minutes to get this thing installed. So speaking of that install, let's jump into that now. Before we head over to the truck, I did wanna let you guys know that this install is gonna be a little bit difficult to see because we are going to be in the upper part of the driver's side foot well area. But as a brief overview, what you're getting with this device is a split harness. Now, each of these are going to plug into either side of the factory gas pedal harness. So one is going to plug into the top of your gas pedal, and then the other is going to go into the harness, and then we can run this device in the wire all the way up to the cab area or right next to the steering wheel and go ahead and mount this up. So what do you say we go ahead and go over to the truck? So now that we're inside our foot well area, if you follow the pedal all the way up, you're gonna see a wiring harness here. All you have to do is press down on that and pull back, and this is gonna be the plug that we will attach our harness to. So starting off, we're gonna take the male side and plug that into the factory harness, making sure that you hear it click. Then we can take the female side of that harness, plug that into our gas pedal. All right. Now, at this point, what we need to do is mount up our device, and then we'll be able to tie these up and out of the way, making sure that they're away from the brake pedal, as well as the gas pedal, for safety reasons. So what I did was, took the device and kind of pulled back on this trim piece. You don't necessarily have to remove this part, but you will be able to pull this from the bottom and run it behind it your steering wheel dash here.So what I'm gonna do is just find a good spot to mount this. This looks like a great location, very easily accessible. Grab the bracket and the Velcro. We're gonna attach one side to our bracket. Peel the other side. Then we can stick it to our preferred location. Give it a good press. And then, last but not least, we can tie our wires up and out of the way and we'll be all set to use our device. So that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe.
