The Mishimoto Racing Thermostat is engineered to open at 180°F, which is lower than the stock thermostat's 212°F, allowing coolant to flow through the engine earlier. This helps maintain cooler engine temperatures during racing or high-performance driving, enhancing engine longevity and overall performance.

      Construction and Appearance. Built with high-quality materials to withstand demanding racing conditions, this thermostat offers precise temperature activation and reliable durability. Its robust design ensures consistent operation suitable for intense automotive environments.

      Installation. Installation requires removal of the stock thermostat and replacement with this unit using GM housings 12657137 or 12671393. The process is straightforward, does not require drilling, and is accessible for professional and experienced DIY installers. If the pin moves out from the internal wax, run the thermostat through one or two hot/cold cycles to ensure it is properly set.

      Warranty. This product includes a Mishimoto lifetime limited warranty, providing long-term coverage and peace of mind.
