      Description

The Breath of Fresh Air. The stock intake systems on most trucks leave lots of room for improvement. Sharp internal kinks and rough edges impede airflow at high RPM's. Often enough, the source of that intake air is within the hot engine compartment itself. The K&N Series 63 Aircharger Cold Air Intake will help your 2014-2018 Silverado's 5.3L engine breathe by opening a clean and smooth path for cold intake air from outside the vehicle. You'll feel and hear the difference instantly.

Protects as it Enhances. K&N can claim hundreds of millions of miles of successful experience on roads, trails, and racetracks. They leverage that expertise here in the Series 63 Cold Air Intake. The parts fit together with factory-like precision. Hot, under hood air is blocked from the engine. Harmful contaminants are trapped by the cotton gauze filter element, which is washable and reusable for a lifetime. This intake is a great investment in the performance and longevity of your truck.

Simple Installation. K&N designed the Series 63 Cold Air Intake for easy installation by the end user. All necessary parts and components are included. The Series 63 was designed to work with stock ECM programing, so no ECM reflash is needed. Grab some basic hand tools, follow the step-by-step instructions and in about an hour, you'll be experiencing the benefits of improved induction flow.

Application. This K&N Series 63 Aircharger Cold Air Intake is designed to fit your 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 equipped with the 5.3L V8 engine.

Please Note. This Cold Air Intake is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

Technical Note. The K&N Cold Air Intake is not designed for vehicles equipped with a Body Lift.

        Nice sound and gains

I've had and installed kandn intakes on several Honda's, Acuras, and now my Silverado. Installation was easy with basic tools...I did end up cracking one of the plastic vent threads, but I went to Ace hardware and found a decent replacement to finish the install. Adds a nice low rpm throaty sound in the engine area, and I see the hp gains especially when entering the on ramp for the highway or turnpike.

I’ll never do business with this site again

Was about to purchase this with a supercharger and some other products for my truck but I see you guys won’t post my honest review of the $1200 exhaust I purchased. Congratulations. I’ll never spend another dime on this website because you don’t want buyers to really know any negatives about your products. Pretty disgusting. Plenty of other honest websites out there. Goodbye

        Great Product!

Really easy to install. If you have any basic mechanical knowledge you can do it without the instructions. I cant speak on the performance changes but the dyno graphs that get sent with it tell you everything you need to know. The best part is the sound difference, you can really hear the engine once its installed and its amazing!

Easy install. Video was helpful as a reference. Only thing is make sure you put the mass air flow sensor in the right way or the truck will start then stall.

        Simple install and works perfectly

The cold air intake is high quality and the fitment is perfect. My truck has a nice growl that it never had before. Exhaust upgrade is next on the list.

        Worth the purchase

The install was very straight forward, anyone with no experience can easily do it in their driveway. Horse power gains were noticeable with the classic Silverado pedal lag while also giving the engine a much deeper sound while accelerating. Mpg hasn't improved but I'm running 33s, the better sound of the engine alone is worth the money.

        An honest review

I have a 2018 Silverado 5.3 and installed this intake on it. In my honest opinion, it’s not worth $300. The main reason for that is I didn’t really see any hp gains (which I know is only 12-20). Another reason is for a COLD air intake, my Edge Programmer still shows my intake temp being 130-140° while cruising on a 65°day, which I expected to take it down close to ambient temp. It looks great on the engine bay and it definitely gives you a deeper tone under hard throttle, but if you’re putting this on a stock truck, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re lookin for cheap horsepower. I’ve checked all vacuum hoses, I’ve checked the MAF attachment to make sure there were no leaks and also the throttle body “sleeve” and clamps, everything was installed correctly. I have this same intake on a built 08 5.3 and it whistles and definitely showed improvement on air flow, but like I said on a stock vehicle I wouldn’t recommend getting an expensive CAI.

        Could be better

I'm seeing intake air temperatures 25 to 30 degrees above ambient temperature at highway speeds. I will switch to stock and compare, but I suspect the open element may be the problem. The intake sounds can get really annoying, especially during low RPMs and moderate loads. The MAF sensor attachment scheme is an afterthought. You have to use an adapter included in the kit. More chances for things to go wrong... Air leaks. Power? Who knows? It's hard to feel the 12hp they advertise. Responsiveness? Same as before. MPG, which was the main factor for buying this intake is the same as stock. I calculate this by hand every fill up since the DIC is way off by at least 2MPGs. Would I but again? Not for a Silverado 5.3. Ric
