The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is available for the 2014 or newer 5.3-liter Silverado owner who might be looking to slightly increase their plenum air volume to better their air-fuel mixture for an easy improvement in engine combustion, which basically means a more efficient engine. This is extremely easy to install and works with your factory throttle body as a direct bolt-on, so I'm giving this one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, which I'll detail toward the end of the video. When adding a spacer like this, you're basically increasing the speed and volume of the air coming into your plenum and manifold, which can lead to a better-performing motor. You might see small gains in fuel efficiency and maybe even a small single-digit gain in horsepower, but the most notable thing about this is definitely gonna be the air optimization. The unique Helix Bore design you see inside here will help to thrust and spin the air coming through the body to help with air-fuel improvements I mentioned a second ago. This is very unique to the Airaid spacer here, whereas some other brands use a solid inner circle, which may not be entirely as effective as this aspect. You may even notice a slight whistle coming from under the hood, which is to be expected from the helix design, letting you know it's doing its job. It was CNC machined from a high-quality billet aluminum for a durable construction and finished in red for corrosion resistance. And it comes with everything necessary to get the job done, which is essentially just a couple of bolts. Expect to be spending right around 100 bucks for this part, which is an alternative to a full-throttle body but obviously not nearly as effective as a complete throttle-body replacement. You can see, again, very small increase in throttle response with this, for much more of an affordable cost. If you're running a lot of bolt-ons, then an increased auto-body size would absolutely be more beneficial. This is typically a stock motor mod. To get this thing installed, you'll need a ratchet and a very simple socket set, and about 30 minutes or so in the driveway or garage at home. It's really just a matter of unclamping the coupler from your stock air box or aftermarket intake from your throttle body, removing the four bolts holding it to the plenum, placing the spacer and the gasket in between them and then bolting it back together again. Once you've got your coupler clamped back down, you're good to go. Wrapping this one up, if you're the owner of a '14 or newer 5.3-liter Silverado, you might wanna check out the Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer, which is available right here at americantrucks.com.
