They feature a free-flow design that promotes improved exhaust flow, increasing power and torque. With the increase in power that these headers provide, you can push your truck harder in aggressive driving conditions with ease.
Superb Exhaust Tone.These Flowtech Shorty Headers feature a 1.62-inch diameter primary tube that is designed to enhance the efficiency of your vehicle's exhaust flow. This allows for the exhaust to exit more smoothly and faster, producing an aggressive exhaust tone each time you step on your accelerator.
Reuses Factory Catalytic Converters. These Shorty Headers are compatible with your F-150's factory exhaust components, including your OEM mid-pipe and catalytic converters. By reusing the stock cats, your vehicle remains street-legal.
Heavy-Duty Quality. The durable construction of these headers ensures reliable performance that lasts years. They are made of high-quality, cold-rolled mild steel for remarkable strength. They are also mandrel-bent to ensure smoothness and consistent tubing diameter. Additionally, these headers feature TIG-welded and machined flanges to guarantee leak-free performance.
Rugged Black Coating. These Headers feature a temporary, non-high temperature black coating. Please note that this coating is designed to burn off during use. AmericanTrucks recommends overlaying high-temperature paint or other coatings on these headers.
Tuning Required. The use of these Shorty Headers will require a hand-held tuner to reprogram your truck’s (ECU) for operation. By reprogramming your F-150's ECU, you will be able to enjoy the full range of power that these headers are designed to provide.
CARB-Certified. For your peace of mind, these Shorty Headers are 50-state smog legal under CARB E.O. number D-115-19. This means they may be used on pollution-controlled vehicles.
