    Review & Installation Video

    Review & Install Video

Hey, guys, Alex from, here today with my quick review and breakdown of the Black Dual Projector Style LED Headlights, fitting your 2009 through 2014 F-150 without HID lights. So, in this video, I'm gonna talk about who this kit's going to appeal to, what you should be expecting in terms of light output and performance, the construction and materials that went into these, what you should expect to be spending, and then what it's gonna take to get these installed, where I'm gonna be giving these a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and about an hour's worth of labor to get these onto your truck. And I'll have a little bit more for you on that later. So, the Black Dual Projector Style LED Headlights that I have here today should definitely appeal to any F-150 owner out there that's not too thrilled with just how mundane their front end looks and wants to get into something that's not only gonna be a little bit more aggressive-looking, but budget-friendly, that's not gonna hurt your wallet at the end of the day. So, these dual light projectors that I have here today are gonna be a sure-fire way to ensure that your F-150 is gonna be getting a nice dose of modern styling, as well as throwing a considerable more amount of light. Some of the cool features that I really like here, first and foremost, we're gonna see that the entire housing here is gonna be black, but the lens will be clear. Additionally, we'll see that you're gonna have three LEDs right here, two LED halos, and then your main projector, or your low-driving beam, will be right here. I do wanna call it out that is gonna be an LED dual projector style. You're only gonna be getting one projector right here. Your high beam's gonna be a standard style. So to piggyback onto the construction and materials here, guys, we're gonna see the main focal point, in my opinion, is going to be the lower projector here, or your low beam, which is then gonna be accented by both the LED halos. Now, you can definitely get away with running these during the day, if you're looking for that daytime running light look, or if you wanna run them during the night on an auxiliary switch to make it a little bit more individual and personalized, you can definitely do so. And I'll talk about that a little bit more later. So, in terms of the configuration here, guys, we're gonna see that both the low and high beam is gonna feature in H1 style configuration. And if you're looking to custom-tailor the look of your truck that much further, you can mix and match different style bulbs, be it a standard incandescent or an LED style. But for what you're gonna be getting here, I personally think those are gonna be much brighter than what you might find with a factory incandescent bulb, as well as being a little bit brighter if you were to pick up a set, say, off of, like, an FX4 or any other style trim F-150.So, in terms of the pricing here, you should expect to be spending only about $200 for this set, which in my opinion is definitely gonna be a steal. These are gonna be very budget-minded for someone that's looking to overhaul their front end, as well as get away with some really cool accent lighting. Now, on the flip side here, there's gonna be a ton of other styles out there, and they could easily surpass $1,000 in price, or if you're just looking for a used set of blacked out headlights, like off of an FX4, you're gonna see that they, too, can easily get really up there in terms of pricing. So, switching gears to the installation portion of the video, just like I had said up top, you're gonna be looking at a very simple one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and about an hour's worth of labor to get these onto your truck. Now, the ease of install here is definitely a huge selling point for me, as a 2014 F-150 owner, as it should be for anybody else out there that's gonna be after this style of look for your front end, as you're really not looking at rocket science here. You're mainly gonna be pulling three different bolts here, two up here, one on the side, and doing a little bit of wiring work here, and this is definitely one of those instant gratification style mods. To get these onto your truck, you're gonna need a basic socket set, a little bit of patience, and maybe a six-pack of beer. Now, I will add that the LEDs, as well as the halos, will need to be wired in, and if you're uncomfortable with doing this, there's absolutely zero shame with taking this down to a local dealer or a body shop to have the work done. The cool thing that I really like about the LEDs, as well as the halos, is that you're gonna have the ability to wire them into either your parking lights, or, like I said before, if you wanted to pick up an auxiliary switch to further customize that look, you can have the ability to turn them on or off individually. All right, guys, so just to wrap things up here, some final thoughts, if you're the '09 through '14 F-150 owner and you're just not too happy with how your front end looks, you're looking to get into something that's not only gonna be a little more modern-looking that's gonna feature the LED halos, but more aggressive, as well as throwing more light with the projector, I would definitely suggest checking out this kit for your rig. So, that's my quick review and breakdown of the Black LED Dual Projector Style Headlights, fitting the 2009 through 2014 F-150 without HID lighting, available right here at

Currently I have the low beams adjusted at the correct height. The high beams are too low, is there independed adjustments for the high beams only ?

    • These are indeed adjustable via the two silver screws on the rear of each headlamp.

have already bought these headlights and want to replace the bulb with an LED light bulb. where can I find LED's that will hook up to this new harness because the bulb is not the same as the factory bulb

    • These headlights would take H1 bulbs for the low/high beams. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have any LEDs that are H1 bulbs. You would be able to reach out to Putco or PIAA, who we work with for our kits, and they may have some H1 LEDs for you.

I recently installed the axial chrome dual halo led projector style headlights and feel that my headlights need to be raised . Are these lights adjustable and if so how do I adjust them?

I have installed these lights and one of the low beam, projectors lights have already failed after only 10 months of use. Is this bulb replaceable? If so, how and what bulb is used? thanks.

    • The Axial Chrome Dual Halo LED Projector Style Headlights do have replaceable bulbs. These can be accessed via the rear of the headlamp housing where the wiring passes through.

Hello, The LED Halos on these are they LED COB or LED SMD? Assuming SMD. The High and Low beam bulbs what are the specs? Anothers question it was stated these are H1 bulbs that mean any H1 bulb can be used to replace these? To bad no CCFL in this style. Thank you for your time.

    • The Axial Chrome Dual Halo LED Projector Style Headlights come with SM LED Halos, and some standard axial H10 bulbs. We do not have a listing for these specs, however any H10 bulb can be used to replace these, with the exception of HID Bulbs, which will void the warranty.

      Axial Headlights

Easy to install. Not enough connectors to run LED light I had to pick up 4 more. The inside tab to bolt down light was broken on second light so I had to glue it together. I would have returned but I had already cut wires on the factory lights. My bad, I guess I should have checked them both out before installing.

      Look good but.....

The housings look great but the lighting is complete trash. I've tried 4 different lamps and they all suck. Couldn't get an H1 led to fit inside and I'm sick of throwing money at them.

Not very impressed but they're ok 3.5-4 stars

PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW. Instructions are terrible and not helpful, called american muscle and no one there could help me with wiring questions, they didnt even know how their own product worked. halos are non visible at all during day, heldlights visibility is a down grade especially the brights, they are terrible. Thank god i have light bars. If you just want looks then these are pretty good and a good price. I dont regret buying these because i do really the like them. Three stars for getting zero help with the wiring part, instructions not helping at all, and the lights being very dim but 5 stars for the looks, fit of them, and the quality

      Nice product

Product as advertised. The directions could have been a little better. I recommend making the tie-in on the power for the halos before you install the light on your truck. Much easier and cleaner that way. Also, the splices provided for this tie-in are pretty cheap. I bought some real splices to use for a permanent installation.

      Good replacement for stock headlights

Fit is spot on. However wiring is a bit more involved. I was thinking a near plug and play replacement but more than novice wiring experience required here.
