Description
Automatic Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards; Plug-n-Play provide motorized, extendable steps that deploy automatically when your vehicle doors open, and retract when closed. Designed to enhance access to tall trucks and SUVs, they combine convenience and safety by offering a sturdy, illuminated stepping surface only when needed.
Construction And Appearance. These running boards feature corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum with a military-grade black PTFE coating for durability and aesthetic appeal. The 6-inch wide textured surface delivers a slip-resistant platform, while integrated low-profile LED courtesy lights illuminate the step and ground for added safety in low-light conditions.
Installation. Installation is moderately complex, recommended for professionals, and designed to be vehicle-specific with provided mounting hardware and instructions. The setup requires no drilling in most cases and includes a plug-n-play OBDII module for newer vehicle models, ensuring seamless integration.
Warranty. This product includes a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship when installed per instructions.
