Power-Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep Xtreme provides durable, motorized running boards that automatically extend when the door opens and retract afterward. Designed to enhance vehicle access and convenience, these steps improve safety and functionality for trucks and SUVs in demanding environments.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from corrosion-resistant cast aluminum with stainless steel hinge pins, the running boards are anodized and finished with a military-grade PTFE coating. The textured, slip-resistant surface spans six inches wide, offering both strength and a premium look suitable for extreme environmental conditions.
Installation. Installation requires moderate effort including some drilling and wire splicing, which is why professional installation is recommended. Complete vehicle-specific hardware and instructions are provided to ensure a proper fit.
