Justin: If you're looking for a subtle way to add some customization to the front grille of that 2017 through 2020 Raptor, then the Raw Carbon Fiber Overlay Kit that we have here today might just be for you. Now, this officially licensed four-piece kit will feature a quality three-layer material that is cut perfectly to match the Ford lettering in your grille, and can be had for right around 100 bucks. As for the installation, well, peel and stick job, so therefore, figure a soft one out of three wrenches on the old difficulty meter and about 15 minutes or so to complete from start to finish, as we'll show you later in the video.Now, when it comes to customizing the factory grille in your Raptor, you're gonna have some options to choose from, both here on the site and in the aftermarket in general, and as usual, it just boils down to how much you'd like to spend. For instance, there will be the more budget-friendly single-layer vinyl material that will get the job done but do so on the cheap. Then there will be the more expensive polished stainless steel versions out there, which will certainly add a little bit more bling, and then somewhere in the middle, there will be kits like this, that I think are gonna offer a noticeable step up in quality over that vinyl material, but at the same time, still deliver a few different looks, such as a matte red on the site, and in this case, a more subtle raw carbon fiber finish.And truth be told, I currently have something very similar to this on my second-gen Raptor, and I love it. I think it's just the right amount of aftermarket for me without being completely over the top. Now, that being said, I can also see how the matte red kit, also available on the site, would be a good choice for owners out there who really want to make a big statement and have that Ford lettering pop, but ultimately, it is up to you guys at home. But let's get back to this kit, and again, you are looking at a durable and pliable three-layer construction. Basically, your 3M adhesive layer is the base, followed by the carbon fiber, and then there's kind of a matte clear over top of that carbon for protection. And that lettering, as you can see, has been cut perfectly to fit the Ford lettering in your factory Raptor grille.Now, with that said, I have seen some of our customers out there use this kit on some of those aftermarket Raptor-style grilles for the standard F-150, whether that's from Barricade or maybe some other aftermarket brand, but I do wanna point out that we can't guarantee the perfect fitment without modification like we could with a factory Raptor grille if you do plan on using this on some of those aftermarket grilles. But just keep in mind, people have done it, they have pointed out some modification is necessary, but if it's something you're willing to do, certainly worth a shot, and I think it definitely kicks up the style a little bit on some of those aftermarket grilles as well.Now, this kit finally, guys, has been made here in the USA, has been backed by a limited lifetime warranty, in case you happen to run into any issues, and also has been officially licensed for use by Ford. But now we wanna segue into that installation, and again, peel and stick job here, guys, nothing too crazy, but as is the case with most peel and stick jobs, the big key really comes down to the prep. You wanna make sure you prep and clean the area thoroughly before getting started with the install. But nevertheless, feel free to check out our detailed walk-through of the job right now.Man: So, this install is incredibly easy. All you're gonna need to do is make sure that you're working with a clean and dry surface that is free from any wax or debris, to make sure that you have good adhesion from your letters after you stick them on. I'm gonna start by just peeling back the corners of my 3M backing. This way, I can get my letters perfectly lined up before I peel it the rest of the way. That way, I make sure everything is lined up exactly the way I want it. Once I'm happy with my alignment, I can peel back my 3M, and apply some pressure for good adhesion.
