Hey, guys. Adam here with americantrucks.com. And today, we're taking a quick look at and installing Supreme Suspensions 2-Inch Pro Billet Wheel Spacers, available for the '04 to '14 F-150. You should be checking this out if you're looking to pretty straightforward, get aggressive poke for your factory or aftermarket wheels. Wheel spacers do just that, they space the wheels out a little bit from the hub pushing your wheel out a little bit out past that fender well. Now depending on the size wheel space you get, you may get a slight difference from factory or you might get a super aggressive stance with your F-150. Now 2 inches like these here from Supreme Suspensions, 2 inches or 50.8 millimeters is honestly a pretty hefty wheel spacer to give you a really nice wide-body stance, whether it be for just the two front wheels or if you're doing all four corners because you do have the option to get just two or a set of four. Now another reason you might be looking to pick up wheel spacers here is if you're looking to keep your factory wheel but increase your tire size, you might need a little bit more of an aggressive offset to the wheel in order to make the larger tires fit. The factory offset would leave you with your tires rubbing on the inside of the wheel well or the inside of some of the suspension components like the upper control arm for example. So adding a 2-inch wheel spacer like this pushes that wheel up far enough so larger tires can clear the suspension and the wheel well itself. Now when it comes to this particular wheel spacer here, it's made from a really high-quality CNC machine from T6 aerospace-grade billet aluminum, and it's got a black anodized coating on top to help protect against corrosion and oxidization. Now once this is installed properly, it's gonna basically accept the same exact factory and aftermarket wheels that your factory F-150 would have without the spacer on, it's the same lug pattern, it's just bolting right up to the factory stud. And it's a hub-centric wheel spacer so when you put your wheels on, it'll help center them right in with that hub centric ring. Now in terms of price tag here, guys, this is gonna come in for a set of two expect a price tag of about 140 bucks. If you're looking for a set of four to cover all four corners, it's right around 270 bucks, you save about 10 bucks there, whether you get them with the four compared to the two. Now right out of the box, you will have the studs already pressed into your wheel spacers which is a huge win and you don't have to worry about pressing in those studs. And it does come with brand new lug nuts to help bolt your wheels up to the new spacer there that'll thread right onto the new studs. To get the spacer bolted onto your factory hub, you're just gonna be reusing those factory lug nuts.Something I want to point out here and I will reiterate this in just a little bit, Supreme Suspensions does give a disclaimer or warning saying that in some cases, your factory studs poke too far out of these open holes here on your new spacers in which case your wheel would not sit properly. In those circumstances, you will have to grind down the factory studs to be flush or indented in the circles here to make sure your wheel sits flush on the spacer. We have found that that is not necessary in our case here with this F-150 and shouldn't be the case with any of the subsequent F-150s in this particular generation, but it is worth noting that that's a disclaimer there from Supreme Suspensions.Keep in mind, guys, that this can additionally work with aftermarket wheels, you just want to make sure you're keeping in mind what your offset is on your aftermarket wheel because if you already have an aggressive offset, adding another 2 inches of offset is gonna really push your wheel out pretty far. So just keep that in mind moving forward, you want to do the math ahead of time if you're using an aftermarket wheel with an aggressive offset. Either way, you're getting a super aggressive amount of poke with this particular spacer, the 2-inch from Supreme Suspensions. For the install, I'm gonna get one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. It'll take you about an hour from start to finish to knock out all four corners. It's a pretty simple process, so what do you say we get started? All right. Tools used in this install include an impact gun, 19-millimeter deep socket and a torque wrench. All right, guys. So the first step of the install, of course, is to jack up your vehicle safely if you're working on the ground and not on a lift like we are here. Now I'm using a hydraulic floor jack under the frame rail there to jack this guy up, and of course, I've got a jack stand there for support. So ideally, what you want to do is make sure you have both in play at the same time, jack up the vehicle safely so you can get the wheel off and put the jack stand up under the frame so in case anything fails one or the other, you have one there to be your failsafe. So once you have that out of the way like we do, get your wheel off. And next what you're gonna do is take your 2-inch wheel spacer from Supreme Suspensions and set it onto the factory studs. You're gonna be using those factory lug nuts, ours are the factory open-ended lug nuts, you're gonna use the factory lug nuts to bolt the wheel spacer to the factory hub. The new lug nuts included in the kit will hold the wheel to the wheel spacer. So at this point, that's what we're gonna do and then we'll torque it down to spec. Torque these down to factory spec which is about 150-foot pounds. So let's get to it.All right. Now getting straight to the installation, we're just gonna set this guy on to our factory studs on the wheel hub. It will lock right in place, you shouldn't have too much wiggle there. And you're gonna take your factory lug nuts, I'm using my 19-millimeter deep socket to get this done. I'm basically gonna insert them in there and just thread these guys on. I'm gonna thread one on all the way down so it holds the entire spacer on. So like that so we don't have play. Do that for all six.One thing I'm gonna note here is that Supreme Suspensions does give a warning out there, just a quick disclaimer that if your factory studs come out past these holes then you will have to shave down the factory studs so that it's flush or inside of this indent. If it comes past the hole that will prevent the wheel from mounting properly, that's not the case on our particular F-150. In this generation of F-150, you should not have a problem, 2-inch spacers are pretty big, so the factory studs sit in there pretty good so there really isn't a problem at all with fitment. But it is just a disclaimer that Supreme Suspensions does put out there, just something worth mentioning. Just do a quick test fit before you start bolting everything down just to make sure the studs sit inside of those pockets and don't poke out past. All right. At this point, I'm picking up my torque wrench, set it to 150-foot pounds, got my 19 socket on the end, I'm ready to torque these guys down. Now, of course, it's always recommended to check with your manufacturer specs to make sure your vehicle is the same, should be generally the same on this generation vehicle, 150-foot pounds is pretty much the general standard there. Now at this point, you could choose to grab an impact gun and gun these six lug nuts on a little bit before torquing them down. You just don't want to risk over torquing it, you want to make sure you're getting right at 150. So I'm just gonna go right in with the torque wrench and tighten these guys down to spec.So now at this point with your vehicle up in the air and you start torquing it down, you may realize that the hub may start to spin in which case it's a good idea to either have someone sit in the driver's seat and hold the brake down so it clamps that rotor shut so that you can torque this down without the whole thing spinning or you can place something on the brake to help hold it down while you torque this down. All right. There you go. So you want to make sure you're torquing it down in a star pattern and now you're ready to throw your wheel back on. That's gonna wrap up my review and install for the Supreme Suspensions 2-Inch Pro Billet Wheel Spacers, available on a set of two or four for the '04 to '14 F-150. You should be getting yours right here at americantrucks.com.
