Note: This kit was designed and tested on a stock engine without any custom tuning done to the engine computer. Removing the battery cable may erase the programmed radio stations. The anti-theft code will need to be entered into some radios after the battery cable is connected. The anti-theft code, if applicable, can typically be found in the owner’s manual or at your local dealership.

Step 1
Safety first! Before you begin the installation, make sure that the vehicle is in park with the parking brake set. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and verify all components listed are present.

Step 2
Slide the red clip back then disconnect the electrical connector at the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS).

Step 3
Loosen the clamps on the tube going to the throttle body adapter and at the air filter housing. Remove the intake tube from the air filter lid then slide it off the throttle body adapter.

Step 4
Unclip the three hold down clips on the air filter lid, lift the lid then slide it forward to clear the locking tabs. Remove the air filter lid and air filter.

Step 5
Remove the 10mm screw and hose clamp holding the air chamber to the throttle body adapter.

Step 6
Remove the three 10mm screws holding the throttle body adapter. Disconnect the PCV fresh air hose from the throttle body adapter. Remove the adapter from the vehicle.

Step 7
Remove the MAFS from the factory intake tube

Step 8
Install the MAFS into the Spectre Performance aluminum intake tube. Install the supplied MAFS calibration sleeve into the intake tube. If you do not install the calibration sleeve you will get a check engine light.

Step 9
Install the supplied 90° coupler with the supplied clamps on the throttle body but leave loose as you will need to adjust the coupler in a later step.

Step 10
Install the supplied bulb seal around the edges of the supplied heat shield as shown.

Step 11
Install the heat shield making sure that the tabs on the heat shield are inserted into the lower factory airbox slots.

Step 12
With the heat shield located into the slots, using the 2 factory clips from the airbox, clip heat shield into position. The center clip will not be used and can be removed if desired.

Step 13
Place the velocity stack adapter in the heat shield and install the supplied 4” coupler making sure the coupler is pushed completely against the heat shield. Once the adapter and coupler are tight against the heat shield, snug the clamp to hold it in place but do not tighten at this time. Make sure that the clamp for the intake tube is installed but leave loose at this time.

Step 14
Install the Spectre Performance intake tube into the 90° throttle body coupler and then into the coupler on the heat shield. Tighten both of the clamps on the throttle body coupler. Leave the clamp for the intake tube loose at this time.

Step 15
Reconnect the MAFS electrical connector.

Step 16
Reconnect the PCV fresh air hose to the PCV hose adapter.

Step 17
Install the supplied air filter and clamp and tighten the clamp that secures the air filter. Rotate the air filter/velocity stack adapter assembly for the maximum clearance as shown. Make sure that the velocity stack adapter is still tight against the heat shield then fully tighten the clamps on the coupler.

Step 18
Make sure that all clamps and hardware are fully tightened. Reconnect the battery cable and start the engine and let it warm up. Shut it off and inspect the installation once more for any loose clamps, wires, or hardware. Test drive & enjoy! Your installation is now complete. Periodically check all clamps and brackets.
