It provides stable and precise steering control by connecting the vehicle’s frame to the wheel hub assembly, which is critical for maintaining alignment and handling performance. This assembly is essential for vehicles subjected to heavy usage, ensuring safety and smooth operation on the road.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from forged aluminum, this control arm is engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. It features upgraded rubber bushings with knurling for a secure fit to the sub-frame. The assembly includes a ball joint with patented sintered metal bearings for enhanced toughness. A durable Repel-TEK surface treatment protects against corrosion, and a green neoprene dust boot safeguards against contaminants.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and designed for ease of fitment using the provided part-specific slotted castle nut and snap-on cotter pin. The assembly also includes a grease fitting at a 180-degree SAE angle to simplify maintenance and servicing.
Application. This assembly fits 2014-2016 4WD Silverado 1500 with stock aluminum or stamped steel control arms, and 2017-2018 Silverado 1500 models. It serves as a replacement for both aluminum and stamped steel control arms for these applications.
