Description
Rear Fuel Tank Support. The Rust Buster Gas Tank Crossmember provides essential structural reinforcement for the rear fuel tank area of your truck. It replaces rusted or damaged factory components to restore frame strength and ensure safety. This part is critical for maintaining secure fuel tank support and preventing corrosion-related frame failure.
Construction and Appearance. Fabricated from heavy-duty 11 gauge steel, this crossmember features laser-cut precision for a perfect fit to your vehicle’s frame. It comes coated with an oil protective layer to guard against oxidation during shipping and can be treated with Rust Buster Rust Converter Paint for additional corrosion resistance. The design includes a driver side mount plate pre-welded to the tube and outer plates sent loose to simplify installation.
Installation. Installation requires welding and moderate fabrication skills. The included mounting brackets and pre-positioned plates facilitate alignment, though some trimming may be necessary depending on vehicle condition.
