Before mounting this hood protector, your hood should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before wiping down with the included alcohol pads. This is to ensure complete bonding of the adhesive to the mounting surface. What’s more, when installing this in cold weather, you should first warm-up the mounting surface as the adhesive is more effective if the surface is between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This can be done using a heat gun or hairdryer.
