One of the first things people do to modify their GMC is to increase airflow to the engine. You can do that with these 2007 to 2013 Sierra cold air intakes. Each one is designed to remove the restrictions in your stock GMC air intake system. Those restrictions actually slow down the flow of air, which harms performance. Because these systems are designed to draw in the colder air outside of the engine compartment, the result is a better burn inside the cylinders. Cooler air is denser, so it helps combust gasoline more fully, unlocking the power inside. Thanks to their more open design, performance cold air intakes produce more noise than the stock air intake, which adds to the performance feeling of your truck. You can hear the difference most when the throttle is wide open, producing a symphony that makes being behind the wheel of your GMC more entertaining. We provide you with plenty of variety to suit your tastes and budget, including different finishes that complement whatever look you're going for. All these cold air intakes include a cleanable filter, so you don't have to be spending more money on paper filters, but some of the filters are oiled and others you leave dry. You also get to choose between open element filters, which just sit behind a heat shield that surrounds it everywhere but above, and a closed element filter that completely shuts it off from all but the outside air. We also offer performance air filters that fit in the stock air intake, but that can be cleaned and replaced, and they provide a slight increase in airflow.
