The RedRock 4x4 Smoked Window Deflectors that we have here today will hands down be one of the most affordable ways on the site to get a set of front and rear deflectors on your '09 to '18 Crew Cab RAM at home. Now this set of four will combine a durable injection molded acrylic build along with that dark smoked appearance all for right around the $30 to $40 price point. Installation on the site guys is gonna get a relatively soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It's a peel and stick job taking you no more than 20 minutes to complete from start to finish as we'll demonstrate later in the video. Now the general idea behind any window deflector is a pretty simple one. Right? Allow truck owners to leave their windows crack for circulation or while having a smoke and helping to prevent any rain or excess wind from getting inside. Now this will help keep your truck a little bit cooler in those hot summer months by leaving your windows cracked a bit while parked or by also allowing you to air out your cab or interior while driving and again, keeping the excess wind noise or rain to an absolute minimum. And as an added bonus, they look kinda cool to boot. But as I mentioned earlier guys, these particular deflectors will be one of the most affordable of their kind here on the site, especially when compared to some of your bigger name options such as WeatherTech. Now don't get me wrong, some of those more expensive options are going to be a bit sleeker by design, possibly deliver a little bit more coverage but again, if you're just looking for a basic deflector that will get the job done for around 30 to 40 bucks, the RedRock options that we have here are certainly hard to beat. Now materials across the board with wind deflectors are generally pretty similar. Typically, you're going to encounter an injection molded acrylic which is the case here with the RedRock options and also in this case, you're gonna be finished off in that dark smoked appearance. That's gonna be kind of the norm in this category. Yes, you can also find them here on the site with a chrome finish for chrome package truck owners out there who might prefer a little bit more flash. On the other hand, if you prefer to keep things a little bit more low-key, the smoked option generally is gonna be the way to roll especially on darker trucks or trucks out there that have dark window tint. This kit does, again, include two fronts and two rears for your Crew Cab and does not need any drilling or permanent modification to be installed. Instead, you're just simply going to mount them using the supplied 3M automotive tape and that's it. But to give you a better idea of how the job will go down, check out our detailed walkthrough right now.All right guys, this is gonna be a peel and stick job. So most importantly, we wanna make sure the area is nice and clean first before getting started because that's going to ensure our 3M tape has a nice strong bond and doesn't blow off on you down the highway. So grab your cleaning solution, microfiber or towel and get to cleaning. Now before you get started applying the actual deflector, I always like to test fit first just to get an idea how it's going to fit. Now once you're happy and you know where it's gonna land, go ahead and start by peeling off your 3M tape backing just a little bit and we'll show you here why in a minute but you wanna leave yourself some slack. There's a separate piece of 3M tape here in the back. We're gonna peel this off all together. This is gonna be the final part that gets adhered to the truck but once you have that ready to go, let's move to the window. Now that we have our tape started, now we wanna get it up into place and the goal here with this set, I found, is to line up your curve with the curve in your factory window sill there or window frame. So if you can eyeball it a little bit, you see where it wants to land, you wanna make sure you get that bend in place. So we kinda know it's going to live down here. So now with our tape started, we're going to just slowly push down, give it some pressure and you saw we left our slack there earlier. Right? Well, what we're gonna do is slowly pull this up. We're just gonna work our way around, applying pressure as we go. This allows you to have some movement in certain areas without just hoping you get it right the first time. Following that bend around the sill. There you go.With our driver side front done, now we can move to the rear. We're gonna start our tape once again like we did up front. However, I will peel this piece all the way off. We'll start this guy, leave us some slack, then move on to the window. All right. So we're gonna try to match up our front height wise as best we can and big thing to keep in mind here with the rear windows, you want the flat part facing towards the front of the truck as you'll see the rear of the deflector follows the curvature of the window frame. So with that being said, we'll get this guy in place. Give that a little pressure and now slowly peel our slack and adhere as we go.All right. Just simply repeat the process on the other side and your installation is complete. Now a big point to keep in mind here guys, you might wanna let these cure for about 24 hours preferably in the sun before you go bombing down the highway just to give that 3M tape enough time to adhere to your vehicle.
