Description
Aluminum Degas Tank Upgrade. The Mishimoto Aluminum Primary Degas Tank Kit; Micro-Wrinkle Black replaces the fragile plastic stock degas tank in your cooling system. It is designed to prevent coolant leaks and cracking caused by repeated heat cycles, ensuring long-term durability and performance under demanding operating conditions.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from full aluminum, this degas tank features precision TIG-welds for strength and reliability. It is finished in durable Micro-Wrinkle Black, providing a sleek appearance that enhances any engine bay setup. Additionally, the tank’s design includes a sight glass for easy coolant level monitoring, internal baffles to prevent air entry during aggressive driving, and offers an 8.8-percent increase in coolant capacity for improved cooling performance.
Installation. Installation presents a medium difficulty level and requires cutting of the stock battery tray to remove the factory degas tank. No additional drilling is necessary, making the upgrade straightforward for experienced installers.
