Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the matte black or brushed black door pillar accents, which are available for all 2015 and newer SuperCab and SuperCrew F150s. So in this video I'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect from the door pillar accents, as well as all the materials and construction that goes into it. I'll top the video off with the install, which I'll let you know upfront is going to be a very, very straightforward one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. The matte black or brushed black door pillar accents will be for any 2015 or newer SuperCab or SuperCrew F150 owner who might be looking to cover up those factory door pillars because of swirl marks from a bad detailing or if they're just worn out over time, especially from the sun. This will give you the option between a matte black finish and a brushed black finish in order to give you some customization and some stealth on the exterior appearance. Now, obviously, this is an extremely, extremely straightforward part here. As I lift that up, you can see exactly what we're working with, just a couple of decals that will cover up your factory door pillars. Now, you might be able asking, "Why would you wanna cover those up?" Now, number one, for styling and appearance, this does give you a more aggressive, stealthy look on the side profile of your F150, but it also does serve a function. Now if you've gotten your truck detailed or if you've just had it for a couple of years and it's just worn out and be sitting in the sun, especially if it's not taken care of, which we can all slack sometimes on, it can end up with swirl marks that are kinda hard to get out, if not impossible. Now this way, instead of replacing those door pillars in some way or spending all that money for repairs and detailing, you can just pick up a couple of decals that will cover it up. Not only does this look like it came on the car from the factory, but it also gives it a more aggressive appearance, as I said before. As far as materials and construction, these are manufactured right here in-house at American Muscle Graphics, using the highest quality four-mil wrapping cast vinyl available on the market today. Now this vinyl is specific for the body panels, not necessarily window, like window tint, and it also has a protective clear coat layer on top to make sure it survives through even the harshest weather for years to come. This also has special air release technology from AM Graphics that allows you to actually get it to be wrinkle-free and bubble-free, pushing out all the air trapped underneath the vinyl upon installation. This will get it to be stealthy smooth exactly like it is on this paper, with no bubbles, no wrinkles at all, for a smooth finish to make sure it looks like it came on the car from the factory. One of my favorite things about this product is absolutely gonna be the price tag because if you have that issue with your factory door pillars and you're looking for something like this, as far as the solution is concerned, this is just gonna run you about 20 bucks. 20 bucks to get you some high quality vinyls that last for years to cover up a problem that hasn't been probably available on your car for years. Now, if that has been an issue, 20 bucks takes care of it, with your choice of either the matte black, which is obviously just a gloss-less appearance, giving you just a flat black color for a stealthy appearance. Or, on the other hand, if you're looking for a bit more texture with no gloss, go for the brushed option. Either way you're looking at just about 20 bucks. Shifting gears over to the install portion of the video, like I said in the beginning, a very, very simple, straightforward install, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. You wanna make sure you clean the door pillars off properly before installing this just to free it of any dirt and dust, because the first installation will, of course, be your last, given that there really isn't much room for error. Now, once you do have this all cleaned up, you'll spray the front and back of the vinyl before applying it to the actual door pillar. And once you do apply, you'll have a little bit of room to play before it dries. But once it's on there you wanna make sure it's in the place properly. You'll just repeat the same process for each one of the pillars here and you'll be good to go.Overall, like I said, maybe an hour at the absolute maximum, start to finish, and a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2015 or a newer F150 with a SuperCab or SuperCrew trim, you might be looking for a way to cover up those factory door pillars from maybe swirl marks from a bad detail job or just sun spots over time. If that sounds like you, you've got your option between the matte black or the brushed black door pillar accents, both of which are available right here at americanmuscle.com
