Review & Install Video
The X-act Contour from Husky should appeal to the 2015 and newer SuperCrew and SuperCab owner who wants some added protection from dirt, mud, sand, snow, or the occasional spill, and who would like to grab one of the nicer fitting options in the category for just north of $100. Now, in addition to that great fit, truck owners can also look forward to one of the softer materials in the category which I personally found useful for added traction on those rainy or snowy days. Installation's gonna be easy enough for my three-year-old daughter to tackle, so figure, the softest one out of three wrenches imaginable with a little bit more detail on that later on.
All right guys, full disclosure here. I've actually had these exact same mats in my 2015 Lariat for a few years prior to trading that thing in, and I had absolutely zero complaints. And the reason why I went with these mats was for the reasons I listed to you guys at the very top of this video. I personally felt like these were the best fitting mats available in the market at the time, and I really did enjoy that softer rubber material over some of the thinner vinyl or even plasticky type of floor liners in the category. And that perfect fit obviously isn't an accident either here gang, as these things are laser measured to fit the contours of your F150's floor, and you'll notice that the first time you toss these things in.
And on the topic of fitment, one thing that really sealed the deal for me, at least personally, with the Husky floor liners, was the dorsal portion of these particular options. Now I have noticed with some other aftermarket options in the past, the dorsal area wouldn't always sit flush, would almost stick up a little bit making for a perfect place to catch your shoe or your boot as you enter the truck, and I just didn't really like that. The X-act Contours from Husky, on the other hand, fit really, really well in this particular area, lay very flush with the door sill, and as one of our customer reviews pointed out, these things fit like they were poured into place. And I think that's an awesome way to sum these things up, and I always encourage you guys to check out some of the customer reviews for some more real-world feedback.
Okay, guys. We've established that these things do offer a great fit, but let's talk a little bit more about the liners themselves from a construction standpoint. And one that I already mentioned is the soft rubberized DuraGrip material, as Husky calls it, and to me, this was worth another big thumb up because I think it's just gonna help the mat lay a little bit better since it's not so rigid. And it's also gonna help you with a little bit more traction on those wet or snowy days, again, just personal experience there. And besides the traction aspect with these particular liners, I just think the softer material made them a little bit more comfortable under your feet as it did add a little more cushion. But aside from the DuraGrip material, Husky also incorporates their patented form-fit edge technology here guys, which just essentially are these two raised areas on the liner, which is just gonna help contain any of the snow, water, mud, spilled coffee, to the actual Husky liner and keep things off of your truck's carpet.
But flipping over these mats, guys, you'll see a couple of things working for you here in regards to keeping these things underneath your feet at all times. First and foremost, the raised cleats, as Husky calls them. They're really gonna dig into the carpet, and they're gonna work in conjunction with the factory anchoring system here, locking your mat or liner into place at all time. And again, just kinda deferring to my personal experience with these guys, never had an issue with these things sliding around on me at any time.
But maybe one of the best parts about this liner or any aftermarket liner for that part is just how easy they are to remove, hose off, and then toss back in. And again, that's something that a lot of these aftermarket options do have in common. Simply yank them out, hose them down, and dry them off, toss them back in, and you're good to go. Definitely one of the biggest pluses when checking out an aftermarket liner or a floor mat like this, in addition to just keeping your carpet fresh and clean over the years. And if for whatever reason, you should encounter an issue with the Husky here, they are quick to point out they have a no questions asked lifetime warranty with every one of their products. And guys, I can't believe I even have to talk about this, but I am contractually obligated to mention all installs here no matter what product. And as you might imagine, you don't need an ASE certification to toss in a new set of floor mats, so, the softest one out of three wrenches I can possibly give a product and maybe a few seconds from start to finish here to toss in the new Huskies.
As someone who has enjoyed the X-act Contours from Husky over the years, I have absolutely no complaints, and judging by our overwhelmingly positive reviews on the site, seems like other people are digging them as well. So that is my review of the Huskies which you can grab right here at AmericanTrucks.com.
