Make Your Truck Growl. Growl at everyone you pass when you wear this Flowmaster American Thunder stainless steel cat-back exhaust system on your truck. That's right, you can show off real aggression and give your truck a cool makeover with this exhaust kit. It's built with huge pipes, a cool stainless steel look and specially designed muffler that's deep, growling and angry enough to make your truck stand out while driving down the road. You'll be thrilled to show off your ride and how good it sounds after you've used this kit for a little while.

Additional Torque. Torque is one of the most important things to a serious truck like a large Ford F-150. That's why this Flowmaster American Thunder stainless steel cat-back exhaust system is so beneficial. It smooths the transition of exhaust out of the engine and out of the vehicle versus the constricting standard pipes. For that reason your engine runs better and produces more torque. With the added torque that you get from this kit you can accelerate faster and more capably. You'll be thrilled with the improved performance that you get out of this system and you'll be able to tackle tasks with improved confidence because of the kit.

Solid Stainless Built. This whole kit is made from mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel, some of the strongest metal that you can get for building an exhaust system. You'll be amazed at how well the pipes hold up over time. They won't rust or corrode, and because they are mandrel bent they are stronger and offer the same diameter through the bends, preventing kinking and constriction. The end result is a set of pipes that you can really count on to do a nice job while you drive.

Install Faster. There's no point in picking up an exhaust system that's going to take a full day to install when you can get this simple one that offers the same benefits. This kit uses the stock hangers and it can be installed at home if you like. Just two hours is all it takes to get the pipes, muffler and tips in place with this kit. Use it to improve your vehicle and you can install the whole thing with basic hand tools. You'll be thrilled with how well your truck performs with this kit installed, and it will go on much faster than you may expect.

Application. The Flowmaster American Thunder Stainless Steel Cat-Back System is designed to fit all 2011 to 2014 F-150s powered by the 5.0L engine.

            Amazing sound!

Just the right purr and rumble I was lookin for. Turns heads everywhere I go and applies pressure at every red light. I wouldn't change it if I could, it sounds awesome!

            2014 F150 5.0L

Easy install just using ramps for the rear end. A little more drone than I was expecting at speeds above 70 but other than that it sounds really good and I’m very pleased with it.

had to be modified by a pro after installation

Installed without cutting on a 2012 F150 Supercrew, website said it fit. But the driver's side exhaust pipe was rubbing against the rear differential case. The system was also way too drony in the cab when accelerating and at 65mph. Will give you a headache on long trips. Had to have a pro reinstall the factory resonator and modify the tail exhaust to get it away from the rear axle and differential. Not happy.

            EXHAUST

If you want a better exhaust than your stock exhaust but not something thats annoying. You can get this one. I want a loud exhaust but not super loud so i got this one, but i thought it was gonna be louder than it is, so i shouldve gone with the outlaw, but regardless this thing sounds mean.

            Flowmaster American Thunder Dual Exhaust

I love how this exhaust sounds! Very deep and aggressive sound and is pretty loud too but not too loud to start getting you in trouble. I had a local shop install it and they mentioned how they LOVED the sound of it and how much of a breeze it was to install. They were asking me what exhaust system it was and where I got it! The only negative for this exhaust is it can drone a little at like 55-62mph but it isn't too bad and I don't mind it.

            2013 F150 FX4

This exhaust is awesome. I was afraid it wasn't going to be exactly what I wanted, but it is great. Really aggressive as soon as your foot hits the gas, and yes, it is loud. Backs off significantly when you get off the gas, however. If you want an exhaust to get noticed, but not be completely annoying all the time, this is it. Great quality, and simple install with the help of my well-trained mechanic. He was very impressed with the simplicity of the kit.

Replacement a breeze - GREAT sound!

I did have to wait for restock, but it came sooner than promised, well packaged. I had local muffler place install in about 45 minutes. His comments included what quality pipe and fittings. We will see how long muffler lasts. The sound - GREAT! perfect sound that I was looking for my 5.0 f150 outside and not very loud inside cab. Looks great also with duals coming out the back! Only installed for two days, but love it so far. No problem around town and up to about 60-65mph. We will see in a few weeks on the highway speeds. As promised, unbolt, bolt on. (and it does fit supercrew with long 6.5' bed!).

            Great sound.

I am very pleased with how it sounds at an idle and driving down the road. When you first install it you'll notice a little drone when RPM's are around 1300, but after a few days you won't notice it.

Good kit - nice interior sound

Interior noise level is great (2014 f150), outside is a tad louder than I expected. Nice overall bolt on system that fit well.

            Awesome sound

I've gotten alot of compliments about how my truck sounds. Like the other reviews sounds loud enough to turn heads when you want to but quiet when you need it to be. Drones a little at 1800 rpms.

            Sounds amazing

I paired it with a kandn series 77 cold air intake and it sounds incredible. Installation was fairly easy. Really made my 5.0 stand out. I don't have very much droning. Great system. Highly recommend the pair

            Love it

The Flowmaster American thunder cat-back exhaust sounds great. Great rumble through the first five gears then levels out in sixth then you'll get a slight droning but nothing worth down grading this exhaust system. Loud enough to make you smile and grab attention but not so loud the police will pull you over. Great way to bring out the true sound of the V8.

            Let the Flowmaster ROAR!

I am writing this review after having the exhaust system installed on my 2013 STX 5.0L F-150 for just one week. First of all, the sound when on throttle is amazing. It is just the right amount of growl to satisfy a motor head yet not too loud to draw the attention of law enforcement. It truly brings out that "V-8 sound" that makes the engine feel classic. The only times the exhaust sounds less than perfect is when cruising at highway speeds of roughly 55-60 mph when the truck is in 6th gear at between 1600-1900 rpm. There's just not enough "stress" going on with the engine to push the musical notes through the exhaust effectively so the sound really fades and can drone a little. Bump the speed up to 62 mph and up and this disappears. The exhaust makes fantastic sound when pulling a trailer or when at interstate highway speeds of 65 mph plus. Fit and finish of the exhaust is excellent and required no modifications or cutting on my 2013 STX.

            american thunder catback

Very impressed with this product. The fit and finish are very good. My truck sounds great all through the power band. I recently installed a borla ford raceing system on a 2013 f-150 I had fitment issues and never did get the pipes straight at the outlet, that system was nearly two times as much money,so I'm even more impressed with the flowmaster system.

            2013 F150 Flowmaster

I had this system installed on my wife's 2013 F-150 and it sounds awesome. The only system that may be louder would be the Outlaw cat back, but the American Thunder cat back is a perfect fit ! It sounds mean man............lemme tell ya. makes me want to get on it every time I am in the truck. I have not had any issues with this system in the 3 years I have had this on the truck. This is a high quality kit that will last you.
