Merideth: If you're looking for a stealthier appearance for the front end of your 2011 to 2016 F-250 Super Duty, these LED C-Bar Factory-Style Headlights with the Black Housing and the Smoked Lens will be a great addition to your build. Now, this set of lights will be great for the F-250 owners who have a set of headlights on their truck that are a bit worse for wear and need a replacement but would rather get a set of lights that brings a little bit more to the table rather than another stock set. Now, these will keep that factory design for the F-250 owner who's looking keep it simple, yet aggressive, while also adding that modern touch with the LED running bar for a refreshed appearance to the front end.As it says in the name, these will feature a smoked lens and a black housing, giving off that aggressive vibe that will match very well with any other smoked or black accessories on the truck, adding a really nice contrast to the front. And I do wanna mention that these lights will not include the bulbs, and you will be swapping those over from your factory setup, which keeps everything simple, and is gonna be great if your factory bulbs are in good condition. And nonetheless, on the inside, these will feature a factory-like chrome reflector, so you can ensure that these will offer very similar light output compared to the factory and that you're also getting that dark chrome appearance, which is going to add that elevated vibe. Now, the star of the show here is that large C-bar LED running light that will illuminate in that bright white color, and it's also gonna have an amber LED marker light over on this side. So even though this is going to be dark, you are going to stay incredibly noticeable on the road for safety, but, of course, style as well. Now, these will have a tough black ABS plastic housing, which will be resilient and offer a factory-like fit. Now, on the front, this will also feature a UV-resistant and impact-resistant smoked lens, so these will be able to handle any kick-up on the street or on the dirt and hold up very well to the elements, keeping this set looking new for years to come. Now, this kit is also going to be completely plug-and-play. You will have to swap over the factory bolts, obviously, but when it comes to the running light, you don't have to worry about any extra wiring, and we'll show you how to get these onto your Super Duty in just a minute. These will come in at about $450, which will be one of your more affordable options for a set of headlights. Now, what's great about this set is that you're getting the upgraded appeal with the smoked lens, offering a stealthy appearance in the modern bright white DRL, but you also get to save a few bucks, thanks to it being a reflector setup in the fact that you have to swap over your factory bulbs. Now, I think if you like the fact that these are a bit more simple and you're happy with the factory setup and just want some better styling and to save a couple of bucks, then these are going to be a great set for you. Now, install is going to be a lighter two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. However, this is still going to remain plug-and-play. So you should be able to get the job done within an hour or so with some basic hand tools. So at this point, you can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown. So that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: For this install, you will need a ratchet, an extension, 10-millimeter socket, a 1/4-inch to 3/8 adapter if needed, and a long flathead screwdriver. What's up, guys, today we're going to be installing some headlights on our F-250, so let's get started. So now that we have our hood popped, our first step is going to be to remove our grille, and to do that, we're going to remove the four 10-millimeter screws holding the top of the grille in place using our 10-millimeter socket on our ratchet. And once we have that done, we can go ahead and pull back on our grille a little bit. And it has tabs down at the bottom that you may need to use a long flathead to kind of push down on the tab to get it to release out of its slot.So we have the top of our grille pulled back to show, and we're going to use our flathead to go ahead and push down on our tab a little just to get that to release. And once you have that released, the rest should pull out, but you can do the same thing for the rest of the tabs. And then your grille should just pop right out.So now we can go ahead and lift our grille up out of place and set that aside. So now we can go ahead and remove our bottom 10-millimeter screw on our headlight and our two middle ones. And then for this top one, all you have to do is loosen it because it will be slotted just to set it in place. So we'll go ahead and loosen this one first. And we'll go ahead and remove our two middle ones. Now, ours does not have the bottom 10-millimeter screw due to previous removals and installation, but factor you should have a 10-millimeter belt right in the middle of your headlight, and you can go ahead and reach that again with your 10-millimeter and your ratchet. So next, we can go ahead and grab a hold of our headlight. And you want to grab by this top outer edge here because it does have a locator tab up top. And we'll just go ahead and pull that right out of place. And then we can go ahead in here and unplug our connectors to our headlight and remove our factory unit. Then once you have this done on this side, you can go ahead and repeat the process for the other side. All right, so before we can move on to installing our new headlights onto the truck, we're gonna need to swap over our bulbs from our factory housing. So, to do that, we're gonna come to the back of our headlights here, and then we're just gonna give our sockets a quarter turn counterclockwise to pull them out so we can swap them over. So we'll start with our marker bulb socket. Just give that a quarter turn, pop it out, as well as our turn signal bulb socket and our headlight socket. Now we can swap these over to the new unit and get it on the truck. So since our marker lights on this are actually an LED conversion, we're going to remove the marker light bulb from the socket. And we'll go ahead and plug in this conversion connector into our factory socket. It can be a little stiff, you just want to make sure they're good and tight down there. Then we'll go ahead and tuck our wiring back into our housing here. We'll go ahead and get that set, and then we'll give it a quarter turn clockwise to lock it in. And we'll do the same thing for our turn signal socket here followed by our headlight socket. Just get it set, quarter-turn, and lock it in.So once you've got this all done on your first headlight, you can go ahead and repeat the same process for the other headlight. So now we're ready to go ahead and get this installed. And we're going to start by plugging in all of our connectors just as they came out of the factory unit.So we'll start with our marker bulb indicator here. Followed by our turn signal connector. And then our headlight connector. Now we can go ahead and set this in place. And it does have these locators here up at the top. So we'll go ahead and line those up. And give it a good push and set it into place. Now we can go ahead and reinstall our 10-millimeter mounting screws using our 10-millimeter socket on our ratchet. And we'll start with our middle ones here. After you have your middle ones in, you will want to go ahead and reinstall your bottom 10-millimeter mounting screw.Again, ours is gone due to previous installs and modifications, but yours from the factory should have that. Then we can go ahead and tighten our upper mounting screw. And once you've completed this process on this side, you can go ahead and repeat it on the other side. Now we can go ahead and get our grille mounted back up. So we'll go ahead and line our bottom tabs up and slide it up to the upper mounting points, and then we'll just give the bottom a push until our clips snap back into place. And then we can go ahead and reinstall our four 10-millimeter mounting screws up top. And we'll again use our 10-millimeter socket on our ratchet. Let's go ahead and get these back on.All righty, guys, that about wraps up our review and install of our LED C-Bar Factory Style Headlights with Black Housing and Smoked Lenses for your '11 to '16 F-250 Super Duty. Thanks for watching, and as always, for everything F-250, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
