Description
High-Performance Heat Protection. The Heat Sheath GOLD; 1.25-Inch x 36-Inch is designed to protect automotive lines, hoses, and wires from heat and abrasion damage. It works by sliding the sleeve over components to keep them cool and extend their service life in high-temperature environments.
Construction and Appearance. The product features a metalized polyimide lamination securely bonded to a 20 oz heat-treated glass fiber base for durability. It includes aramid thread reinforcement to enhance heat resistance and abrasion durability. The sheath has a gold reflective finish that reflects up to 90% of radiant heat up to 800°F.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and does not require drilling. Users simply unhook the hose or line, cut the sheath to the desired length, slide it on, and reattach the component.
Application. Fits universal applications; some adaptation may be required. It should not be applied directly to exhaust components to avoid damage.
