HEAT BARRIER SOLUTION. The Floor and Tunnel Shield II, measuring 42 inches by 48 inches, is designed to block and reflect high heat from penetrating vehicle interiors and damaging sensitive components and electronics. It is ideal for extreme temperature areas such as fire walls, transmission tunnels, and floor boards, providing effective thermal insulation and protection.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. This shield features a 10 mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 inch composite glass-fiber core, offering excellent rigidity and heat reflection. Measuring 3/16 inch thick, it is lightweight and finished with a durable aluminum surface that enhances reflection and features a textured appearance. It includes a high-temperature resistant pressure sensitive backing, with a non-adhesive option available, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1750°F.
INSTALLATION. Installation is straightforward, as the shield can be easily trimmed and shaped for a custom fit in tight clearance areas without requiring drilling. It adheres securely with the adhesive side holding past 450°F and is compatible with various surfaces including metal, plastic, and carbon fiber, making it versatile for different automotive applications.
APPLICATION. Fits universal; some adaptation may be required.
