Hey guys, it's Sara, with americantrucks.com. And today, we have a review and install of the Amber Crystal Headlights with smoked lenses and black housings fitting your '04 to '08 F150s. These are perfect for the F150 owner who's looking for an OE style replacement headlight, but wants to add some smoked styling as well. These smoked headlights feature an OE replacement design and work with your factory bolts and connectors for ease of install. They are constructed from impact resistant smoked lenses with black housings and are weather sealed to keep out dust and moisture. So, as far as price goes, these headlights come in at around $150 for the pair, making them one of the most budget-friendly options you can choose for your F150. And for your money, you're getting a plug-and-play install with a smoked design. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. They do feature a direct bolt up and plug-and-play install with no wiring required and can be done within one hour. So with that said, let's check out the install. For this install, we used an impact gun, but a regular ratchet will work just fine. We also used a small extension, 10-millimeter socket, and a pop clip removal tool. All right. So the first step in our uninstall is to grab a pop clip removal tool and remove this pop clip that's holding on this cover. Now go ahead and pull that flap out of the way and you'll see two 10-millimeter bolts. Then with your 10-millimeter socket, and you may want a small extension, go ahead and get these removed. And on top of the headlight there should be one more 10 mil, go ahead and get this removed as well. And now that all of the bolts are removed, you can go ahead and remove the headlight. You need to release this plastic clip at the top here, and then you can grab the headlight and pull it straight back towards you. And now you can disconnect all of the factory connectors, press down on the tab and pull backwards to release. And then go ahead and repeat that for the rest of your connectors. Now before we can get our new headlight installed, we need to transfer over this bolt and connector. You can do so by turning counterclockwise on the factory light, pulling it out. Just be careful not to touch the bulb because the oils from your fingers can reduce the life of that bulb, and go ahead and twist clockwise into your new headlight. And now you can plug in all of your connectors to your new headlight. Now you can line up the headlight on your truck and press it into place. And now you can reinstall your factory hardware. And with your 10-millimeter socket, tighten it down. Repeat that to reinstall your hardware on the sides. And with your 10-millimeter socket, tighten it down. And reinstall the factory cover. Line up your pop clip and press it into place. And now that we have our factory headlight uninstalled from our truck, we can check it out side by side with our new headlight here. Now these are similar in that they're both a reflector style lens, but your new headlight features that smoked lens and black housing to get you a more aftermarket look to the front of your truck. So with that said, go ahead and repeat all of those steps to install your passenger side headlight. And now that you have your passenger side headlight installed, that is gonna do it for the review and install of these headlights. And remember for all things F150, keep it at americantrucks.com.
