Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the Raxiom Fog Lights with a Smoked Lens, fitting all 2004 to 2006 F150s. So, if you're in search of an upgrade, as well as a replacement to your factory fog lights, this option by Raxiom is going to be a great choice to take a look into. Now, since the fog lights sit lower on the bumper, a lot of the time they can take a lot of damage while you're driving around the street or even if you're driving around the worksite, and finding a good replacement is always something that can not only just clean up the look of the truck, but with this option, this is going to do a good job of creating a sleek look as well. Now, as you can see, this does have a smoked lens on the front. That's going to add a sleek and almost a more aggressive look to the front end of the F150 and also match with any other blacked-out accessories or smoked accessories that you have on the front. So, if you do have a pair of smoked headlights and you're looking for a match with when it comes to the fog lights, this is going to be a great choice as well. And these are going to be a direct replacement to your factory fog lights. So you can expect the same fit and function when it comes to these fog lights as you would see out of the factory ones. However, again, these are going to be a big upgrade and a big refresh to the front end of the truck. A lot of the time with the older trucks, some of the lights, especially with the lenses, they can get fogged up, they can crack, and they can get water inside of them as to where this is going to, again, give a nice refresh to the front, especially with that smoked lens, giving it a very sleek look. And not to mention, this is not only going to come with the fog light housing, it is going to come with a set of replacement bulbs. And they are going to be halogen bulbs, so you can expect the same thing when it comes to comparing this to the stock bulbs. However, that is going to be great if you're looking for something that comes with that extra bulb if you have one that is already burnt out on your truck. So, when it comes to pricing, these are going to come in at roughly $125. And I personally think for what comes in the kit and what to expect, these are going to be set at a pretty good price point. Now, in comparison to some other choices on the page, there aren't a lot of options for fog lights that come with the housing and the bulb. Some of the other options that are a little bit less expensive may just come with the housing. And then some other options on the page may come with the housing and the bulb. However, they may have a different look to them. They may have a chrome stock look instead of the smoked look here. Now, overall, I think the fact that this comes with everything that you need, it reuses all the factory hardware, has an OEM fit, and gives a sleek look, I think that $125 is definitely worth it. Now, when it comes to install, I'm going to give this a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It's nothing you can't do in your driveway in about an hour with some pretty basic hand tools. So, speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were a trim removal tool, 3/8-inch drive ratchet, a 3-inch extension, a Phillips head socket, a 10-millimeter socket, and an 8-millimeter socket. So, in order to take out our fog light, we will need to head underneath the truck. For this, you'll need a 10-millimeter socket and a trim removal tool. So, our first step while we're underneath is to unplug our fog light bulb. I'm just going to pull up on this little tab here and pull down on the bulb so we can disconnect that. And then it's also held onto the housing with a small clip. I'm going to take a trim removal tool, and we can pull up on the wire and just pry that off. Put that to the side. And then we can focus on taking out our fog light housing. So, in order to take the fog light housing out, there are going to be three bolts. So, we have to remove...there's one down at the bottom and two up at the top. The two up at the top are going to be difficult to see. So I'm going to start at this one down at the bottom using an 8-millimeter socket and my ratchet. I'm also using a small extension just to give myself a little bit of room. We can go ahead and remove that. Then we can remove the top two using the same 8-millimeter socket and small extension. All right. Then we can remove our fog light housing. So, in order to take our fog light out, we will have to head underneath our truck. For this, you're going to need a trim removal tool, and you're also going to need an 8-millimeter socket. I do recommend a small extension with this. So, what do you say we get underneath the truck? So, now that the bolts are disconnected, what we can do is just wiggle the fog light out of place. This will come out at the bottom of the wheel well. So, before we can install our new light, we do have to swap over our housing. So, there are going to be three studs that are holding in the housing to the actual fog light. Two are going to be held on by a 10-millimeter nut. And then there is going to be one on the back that's held on by a retainer clip. So, I'm going to take a 10-millimeter socket, and we can remove the hardware for the top ones first, then we can address this bottom one here. So, if the bolt is spinning, you may want to take a Phillips head screwdriver or a Phillips head socket. I have a socket here. That's going to prevent it from moving around so you can remove the hardware up on top. So, if you are having some difficulty taking these off by hand with the fog light on, you can take the housing off by just simply pulling back. These are held on by a ball and socket style side. There's a socket on the fog light side, and you just have to simply pull back. However, we do have to take out the studs because we need to reuse the housing, but we won't be reusing these studs. So, we still have to get those out. It is a little bit easier with the housing away from the fog light and these two separate. So, what I'm going to do is take a 10-millimeter socket, the one that we were using, and I'm also going to take a Phillips head screwdriver, and we can go ahead and remove these two studs here. So, as you can see, with the fog light out of the way, we're going to have a lot of room to work with. Then we can just go ahead and remove this hardware since we have more room. Take that out, put that to the side. Same thing for the other one.So, next, we have to take out our last stud here. Like I said before, this is held in by a retainer clip, and this will just pass through once this retainer clip is removed. So, what I'm going to do is just use a flat-head screwdriver and just push this back out of the way. I'm just going to put a flat-head screwdriver on there, and then I'm just taking my ratchet to hit it. You can take a hammer if you want, but it doesn't really need a whole lot of force. Just kind of have to push it off. And wiggle this through, put this aside as well. So, before we go ahead and install our new lights, I do want to stop down and show you guys a quick comparison on the table between our new light and our factory light, show you some of the differences and the similarities between the two and why this is going to be a big style upgrade for the front end of your F150. Now, as you can see, these are going to be pretty much the same except for the fact that our new one has a smoked lens. Now, this is going to be a direct fit, very similar in comparison to our factory one. But as you can see, it's going to be a big upgrade when it comes to styling. Now, just as a brief overview of our factory light, we're going to have a standard black housing on the back. We're going to have those studs that you saw before that are going to hold on that housing on the back. We're going to have a clear lens, a chrome reflector on the inside, very stock and standard look to it. Then we're also going to have a halogen bulb. Now, moving over to this new option, we're going to get all of that, but it is going to be a big upgrade when it comes to just the newness of the light and that styling, like I mentioned. We're gonna have that black housing on the back. This is just going to be a standard black housing or standard plastic housing too, just like our factory one. We're going to have a chrome inside, a chrome reflector that's just going to push that light out. We're going to have a halogen bulb, so it is going to be pretty much very similar to our factory setup. However, we are going to have that smoked lens on the front, which is going to add a very sleek look to the fog lights and match with any other smoked accessories, especially lighting that you already have in the front of the F150.So, there is a lot of similarities between these two. Really, you're just getting a lot of style out of these new ones in comparison to the factory ones. And they come with everything that you need in order to install them. So, what do you say we go ahead and take the housing or the backing for the old light, put it on our new light, and get this thing installed? So, what we can do with our factory hardware and our factory housing is slide this onto the back of our new fog light. We want to make sure that our studs are lined up, and then we can secure them down with the factory hardware. All right. We're gonna fit that down into place. We can take factory 10-millimeter nuts, screw those on. We can also take our clip and slide that on as well. So, I'm still tightening them down with that 10-millimeter socket that we used before. You wanna make sure that you don't overtighten them because this is still plastic. However, you do want to make sure that it's tight enough where the housing is not wobbling around. And then what we can do last but not least is just push this clip back into place. It may be a little bit difficult. Straighten it out and push it on through. Then we can install our light into our truck. So, what we can do at this point is position our fog light into place making sure that the two mounting points are up at the top and the one mounting point is at the bottom. Then we can take our factory hardware and screw that into place. Tighten it up with an 8-millimeter socket. Now, I'm just going to snug up the bottom, make sure that the top two are lined up as well. I'm just gonna tighten up the top ones too. So, now that all three bolts are tightened down, our last step is just to plug in our fog light. It's going to be plug and play, and then we can install this clip to keep that wire up and out of the way. And we'll be all set to go. So, you can repeat that process on the other side. So, that's going to wrap it up for my review and install.
