Description
Superior Header Upgrade. These Silver Ceramic 1.625-Inch Shorty Headers are the superior header upgrade if you’re looking to add more grunt to your 5.0L F-150 without the hassles associated with a long tube header installation. These headers are designed to replace your exhaust manifold with less restrictive 1.625-inch wide stainless steel tubes and patented 2.50-inch wide Firecone collectors. The result is higher velocity exhaust gases, which in turn increases power and torque. This extra power under the hood gives you a distinct performance advantage on the road.
Intense Exhaust Note. With these headers, you also get a more intense exhaust note to match your truck’s intense performance. Specifically, these short tube headers give your truck a deeper, raspier sound that’s more explosive during acceleration. This new exhaust note is sure to make your presence known to other motorists, no matter where you drive.
Retains Factory Catalytic Converters. These headers are designed to retain the use of your factory catalytic converters. This way, your truck gets to maintain factory emissions levels, thus avoiding any issues with compliance.
Robust Stainless Steel Construction. These shorty headers are built from high-grade stainless steel tubes measuring 1.625 inches wide to ensure more free-flowing exhaust gases, as well as excellent corrosion protection. Moreover, these tubes are mandrel-bent and fully welded, to add rigidity while eliminating turbulence. Meanwhile, CNC-machined stainless steel flanges measuring 0.375 inches thick provide superior resistance to warping and leaking. Finally, these headers come in a silver ceramic finish for striking under-the-hood looks.
ECU Re-Tune Not Necessary. These headers provide increases in power and torque via their 1.625-inch free-flowing primary tubes, and patented Firecone collectors. You do not need to re-tune your ECU. Nevertheless, re-tuning your ECU in the future will always be helpful in optimizing the performance potential of these shorty headers.
CARB-Exempt. These shorty headers are CARB exempt under EO D-57-33. This makes them completely street legal in all 50 states.
