How to Install E & G Fine Mesh Upper Overlay Grilles - Chrome (14-15 Silverado 1500) on your Chevy Silverado

1. Apply flat or semi-gloss black paint to the supplied mounting screws and allow to dry.

2. For LT and LTZ models with silver or chrome factory grille inserts: Apply masking tape to the chromed openings of the factory grilles as shown. Scuff the factory grille inserts with a scotch brite pad or extra line sand paper. Apply flat black paint to the factory center sections to help conceal the factory grille once the E&G mesh grille has been installed. Once the paint is dry, re move the tape.

3. Align the grille assemblies into place and use enough wide masking tape to hold them in place for the following hardware installation.

4. This photo shows the screw and 4-way mesh retainer locations that will secure the mesh sections to the factory grille inserts.

5. Carefullyy align the supplied 4-way mesh retainers and install the supplied # 4 x 3/4- screws painted in step 1 through the centers of the thickest parts of the factory grille insert. You can use a 1/16- drill bit to drill the mounting holes or allow the screws to self-tap into the factory grille inserts.

6. Imagee shows proper placement of the 4-way mesh retainers and mounting screws installed through the thickest part of the factory grille inserts. Do not overtighten or you will strip out the holes in the factory grille inserts!

7. Remove the masking tape and dean grille to remove fingerprints, grease, etc. Use a mild solvent and a soft, clean cloth to remove any glue residue from the polished stainless steel surrounds. Follow with alcohol or glass cleaner and a soft, dean cloth to remove any solvent residue. Finished installation.
