      Description

      Performance Camshaft Upgrade. The Comp Cams Big Mutha Thumpr NSR 242/262 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft is designed for Ford 4.6L and 5.4L SOHC Modular 3 valve V8 engines. The NSR series indicates "No Springs Required," clarifying that valve springs are generally not necessary for this camshaft.

      Construction and Features. This hydraulic roller camshaft includes a roller finger follower design and a 1-bolt cam gear attachment for OEM-style fitment. It supports a wide operating range from 750 to 6,800 RPM and is intended for street and strip use.

      Installation. Installation requires no special modifications such as drilling and is compatible with the specified Ford Modular engines. The 1-bolt cam gear attachment provides a secure fitment.

      Warranty. The camshaft is backed by a 12-month warranty.

      Application. This camshaft fits Ford 4.6L and 5.4L SOHC Modular 3 Valve 8 cylinder engines from 2004 and newer, including but not limited to 2005 through 2010 5.4L F-250 Super Duty models.
