Product Overview. The 3rd Brake Light Camera Kit for 8-Inch SYNC 3 Factory Display enhances rear visibility by integrating a high-definition camera into the factory third brake light assembly. It seamlessly connects with the existing factory display, allowing users to toggle between the factory tailgate camera and the third brake light camera for better monitoring of trailer connections or cargo bed contents without assistance.
Construction and Appearance. This kit includes an OEM-grade brake light housing with an integrated HD CMOS camera featuring excellent night vision and a wide 150-degree viewing angle. The camera is housed in a durable, weatherproof assembly designed to replace the factory third brake light, maintaining a factory look while delivering superior video clarity.
Installation. Installation is simple with a plug-and-play harness. It requires removal of the factory third brake light and radio to access the camera connector, but no drilling is necessary. Some wiring connections inside the cab are needed, and the included switch allows easy selection between cameras.
Warranty. This product comes with a 3-year warranty ensuring quality and reliability.
Application. Specifically designed for 2017-2022 F-250 Super Duty trucks equipped with the factory tailgate camera display. It is not compatible with models that have the 360 surround view system.
