Description
Traction Bar Mounting Kit. The BDS Recoil Traction Bar Mounting Kit improves traction and controls axle wrap on 2017-2026 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty 4WD trucks equipped with a 4.5-inch diameter axle. It enhances wheel grip under load and acceleration while maintaining suspension articulation for optimal driveline performance.
Construction and Appearance. This kit is constructed from heavy-duty 2-inch outer diameter steel tubing with a 3/16-inch wall thickness. It features a threaded bung welded near the axle and a CNC-machined frame mount end. The axle mount includes a forged flex end with a jam nut and is capable of supporting up to 15 degrees of misalignment. The frame end uses durometer-specific polyurethane bushings and UHMW bearings within a free-floating traction bar design, ensuring durability and smooth operation.
Installation. Installation uses bolt-on mounting brackets with minor drilling required for the frame mounts. Spring preload adjustment can be performed on the vehicle without disassembly, simplifying setup and maintenance.
Application. Designed specifically for 2017-2026 4WD Ford F-250 Super Duty SuperCab and SuperCrew models with a 4.50-inch axle, this kit does not fit regular cab models due to axle diameter differences.
