Description
Heavy-Duty Transmission Upgrade. The BD Power Towmaster 5R100 Transmission; $1500 Core Charge Included offers a robust solution to increase the durability and longevity of your drivetrain. Designed for demanding applications, it supports higher torque outputs and enhances drivetrain performance, making it ideal for heavy towing and rugged use.
Construction and Appearance. This transmission features a BD aluminum heavy-duty deep pan that increases oil capacity by 6 quarts, ensuring better cooling and lubrication. It includes a larger late model sump filter for improved filtration and replaces plastic pressure plugs with durable aluminum components. The internal clutch counts have been significantly upgraded for enhanced strength and reliability. The entire assembly is dyno tested to meet high quality standards.
Installation. Installation requires approximately 5 hours and generally involves straightforward procedures without the need for drilling. Compatibility depends on verifying the vehicle’s output shaft type prior to purchase.
Warranty. This transmission includes a comprehensive 36-month or 150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month or 24,000-mile labor warranty, covering all defects except race abuse.
Application. Specifically designed for 2005-2007 2WD 6.0L Powerstroke F-250 Super Duty trucks equipped with a slip yoke drive shaft mount. It is essential to verify the vehicle’s output shaft type before ordering, as the 2WD 5R110 models have either slip yoke or flanged shafts.
